The reason for saying "do" is that the Bodhicitta of Maitreya Bodhisattva is non-dual with the Vajra Master. It is connected with the following text. Why? As mentioned before, the Bodhicitta and the Guru exist in an equal manner, so it is said to be non-dual. The word "from...onwards" in the middle is the perfect realization of the desired meaning. It should be fully understood in accordance with reason. Regarding "son of the lineage" etc., like this, in reality all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas appear in the three times of past, present and future, and say this: From all aspects, they abide in the form of great yoga, and all Tathagatas correctly offer and recollect the characteristics of receiving offerings, and then return again. Thus it is taught that disciples should follow the Guru's teachings as they would treat the Buddhas etc. Understanding this, because they want to accomplish the Buddhas etc., they should rely on the Guru from all aspects. In order to clarify this meaning, it is said "like this" etc. Because of the order of the lineage, showing us the oral instructions and striving to generate diligence, therefore I am the father of all Tathagatas. The Tathagatas say "not our mother", or rather, it is said in this way because it is perfected through the order of the methods of practice spoken of in the mandala. As long as this word exists, my benefit is for the benefit of sentient beings, which is a great benefit. "Etc." should be fully understood. "We are the teachers" means that seeing disciples who violate their vows, in order to bestow accomplishments, they place their own prophecy in it, so we are the teachers. For example, for all four mudras of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, compared to how much merit is generated, the merit generated from one pore of the Guru is a more excellent merit than the former. Therefore, practitioners should value this Guru more than the Tathagatas, because obtaining their vows depends on this.

Therefore, since the beings' disposition is extremely lacking in faith, they are unable to truly comprehend the actual meaning of such supremely taught words. Furthermore, in order to clarify what has been done, it is said, "From then on," and so forth. Combining "the mind of enlightenment" and so on with the following, with the sound of "as it is," it is fully understood as becoming the cause for attaining the state of Buddhahood and so forth. "That is also the guru," is what is intended. From then on, and so forth, merely generating a slight thought of contempt towards the great Vajra Master who possesses such great power will cause one to remain in the hell realms for a long time. In order for the disciples to understand this, they became silent with fearful minds. In this way, after emphasizing the importance of the teacher of Vairochana, since some people might doubt that this is not the teaching of all Buddhas, in order to dispel this doubt, since Akshobhya and others also spoke of the same meaning, it is said, "From then on," and so forth. The Tathagata Amitabha, and the Tathagata Vairochana, the meaning of immeasurable light is limitless light. Among the Vajradhara and so on, the Vajradhara of all the Vairochanas and so on is the holder of wisdom, and his accomplishment is the accomplishment of Mahamudra and so on. What becomes the cause of his samaya is the guru, and focusing on him is making him manifest. That Vajra, that is, the samadhi of concentration, with the samadhi on which one focuses, shows this, making manifest what the samaya is about, meaning that for the accomplishment of all the Tathagatas and so on, and for the guru of the samaya, one should focus with one-pointed mind. The phrase "appearing in the ten directions and three times" means to make offerings as before. The phrase "make offerings and prostrate" refers to entering into the practice of the mandala and so on through the sequence of the three samadhis, and prostration is for the purpose of generating respect in everyone, the general meaning is the same as before.
