Those people, please accomplish the offering of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment for me. They also abandoned their pride and, like "from then on," etc., truthfully said, "We cannot do it." Then, the Blessed One, in order to take them in, proclaimed the verses beginning with "The meaning of enlightenment is not form," thereby clearly showing this. The so-called "non-form" means that it is not the aggregate of form. If that were the case, would it become formless? Therefore, "non-form" was proclaimed, meaning that it is also not the four formless aggregates, namely the aggregates of feeling, perception, volition, and the nature of consciousness. It is also not the essence of those. If that were the case, would it be suffering, origin, cessation, and path, the nature of cultivating the path, the nature of being without outflows? "Not true" was proclaimed, that is also not the nature of the four truths. If that were the case, would it be false? "Not false" was proclaimed. If that were the case, what kind of nature is it? "Pure" was proclaimed, because it is free from all the stains of discriminating thoughts that grasp at the existence of things. The so-called "This Buddha's enlightenment wisdom" is that which transcends all accomplished ones, that itself is enlightenment. The so-called "If realized, one becomes victorious" means that if one understands wisdom in that way, one will become victorious. The Blessed One thus proclaimed the meaning of enlightenment, and then those gods remained silent for a moment, meaning that they contemplated its meaning and remained silently. Then, after the Blessed One explained the meaning of enlightenment to them, he then rose from the seat of the Bodhi tree and said to those gods: Friends, please sit on this seat and strive to realize such Buddha's wisdom. Then they reported: Blessed One, we cannot do it. This is saying that enlightenment is a supreme offering.

Not only is it impossible, but even if the meaning of Bodhi has been shown, one does not understand Bodhi, does not understand the order of attaining Buddhahood, and has not completely perfected the accumulation of merit and wisdom, so one cannot manifest and perfectly attain Buddhahood, that is its meaning. After they made that request, the Bhagavan sat on that seat, referring to the grass mat. By fully comprehending in the mind, etc., it shows the verses of the order of comprehension. Why? By fully comprehending in the mind, this itself shows the meaning of the first mantra of the order of manifesting perfect Bodhi. Bodhicitta, this shows the meaning of the second mantra. Do it firmly, this shows the third meaning. The hero Vajra makes it firm, this shows the fourth meaning. I am accustomed to becoming a Buddha, this shows the fifth seed. After the Bhagavan said that, they all said it was good and expressed their approval. When wanting the meaning of Bodhi and the order of manifesting Bodhi in that way, it is shown to the deities of action, etc. When the time of dawn arrives, the Bhagavan, in order to make the dawn of that night conform to the world, if the hordes of demons are defeated, it is to show power. After manifesting perfect Buddhahood in unsurpassed complete enlightenment, greatly benefiting, benefiting all sentient beings without remainder or residue, the noble Vajrapani enters his own mind, therefore, it is clearly shown by the one hundred and eight names such as Vajrasattva. The heroes of Vajra nature increase, because it is Vajrasattva, indivisible. Because this one possesses immeasurable heroes, he is a great hero. The root of the Mahayana is Bodhicitta, therefore it is the Mahayana, for Bodhicitta, it is called the sound of the Mahayana. Because it pervades everything, it is self-nature.

Now, it is called "Great" because it is the nature of greatness. Because it possesses immeasurable light of wisdom, it is called Great Light. Because it has completely purified the defilements of afflictions and cognitive obscurations, it is called Great Purity. It is called "Great Protector" because it has become the protector of the great ones, hence it is the Great Protector, and because it has become the refuge of the great ones—Buddhas and Bodhisattvas—hence it is the Great Protector. Because it is the king of vajras, it is the Vajra King, because it is most supreme in its own activities. When joyful, it possesses the Great Vajra, hence it is the Great Vajra.
