After thoroughly distinguishing, he made the aspiration: "May this mudra, with such a mandala ritual, benefit all these sentient beings and remain for a long time." After making the aspiration, he again focused on the Dharmadhatu with non-discriminating wisdom, and showed how to rise after staying in this samadhi for a short time. Therefore, this samadhi has a name that matches its meaning, namely, the wisdom and enlightenment vow of all Tathagatas. This very samadhi is stable, and because of its indivisible meaning, it is called Vajra. Therefore, dwelling in the samadhi called the Vajra of the Vow of Wisdom and Enlightenment is manifest. The so-called "vow to cut off all the afflictions of all Tathagatas" means that the sword with which all Tathagatas cut off the afflictions of all sentient beings is similarly given into the hand of the great Bodhisattva Manjushri. Afflictions are desires and so on. Since it is both affliction and all, it is called all afflictions. Cutting them off means thoroughly analyzing the suchness of all dharmas with wisdom, and thoroughly knowing the suchness, so the afflictions are extremely unborn, hence it is called cutting off. It is the vow to cut off afflictions, like a sword that cuts off external objects, hence it is the mudra of the sword. In order to cut off the suffering of the nature of the five aggregates of clinging arising from afflictions in all the worlds without exception, after cutting off afflictions and suffering, in order to obtain undefiled bliss and mental bliss. The word "in between" encompasses the previously mentioned contents such as Bodhicitta. As for how far it goes to the end, it is up to the excellent wisdom that follows the speech. The sound that manifests the meaning of the Great Vehicle of all Tathagatas is speech, and following it is called the wisdom that follows speech. Thus it is declared:

How do all the Tathagatas teach the Dharma with the distinction of wisdom? It is said that the sound can well express the meaning of words and so on, explaining "this sound expresses this meaning," which is called wisdom that follows speech. To perfect it is to reach the ultimate. This itself is the supreme accomplishment, hence it is said. Saying "Vajra Sword" indicates its own nature. The so-called "Vajra Wisdom" and so on, refers to the nature of separately understanding all meanings, which is like a vajra. Because that wisdom is like that, the empowerment is bestowed with a name that matches the meaning. Then, with the Vajra Wisdom, the Vajra Sword is used to "strike" all the Tathagatas, which means to contemplate and make them disappear, so this is specially proclaimed. It is taught like this: destroying the form body is striking. With the wisdom that focuses on emptiness, it is broken down into atoms, and the atoms are made to disappear in the manner of the six directions, thereby thoroughly contemplating that all dharmas follow emptiness, and ultimately even the body of the Buddha is the nature of emptiness, completely determining this is called striking. Therefore, it is said: This is the manner of the Prajnaparamita of all the Buddhas. This should be understood definitively in this way, otherwise, if the body of the Tathagata is contemplated, then the body of the Tathagata will not become meaningless. Therefore, all things are also like the body of the Tathagata, having form, so they will become meaningful. Therefore, without emptiness, the Tathagata would not be a seer of reality. Therefore, contemplating the body of the Tathagata with the wisdom sword that focuses on emptiness is called striking. The so-called "this" refers to what is in hand. The so-called "that" refers to where I was born. What is that? It is the Dharma of the Prajnaparamita that is spoken of. Wisdom is the ability to distinguish dharmas well.

That is, its other shore is the ultimate perfection, and the wisdom that teaches the other shore of wisdom is called the other shore of wisdom. Its method is to meditate on all things as emptiness. This shows the sword mudra. If you ask what this does? The answer is: 'It can cut off all enemies.' It means that all things with the body of the Buddha, etc., are meditated on with the samadhi of emptiness, and there is no object to be targeted. Because meditating on it does not produce afflictions, it is said to be cut off. Not arising is the characteristic of cutting off. If you ask what to cut off? The answer is: 'Enemies'. Enemies are afflictions such as greed, because they produce many sufferings in the six realms. If afflictions are cut off, since there is no cause for the ten non-virtuous deeds caused by them, they will not arise, so it is said that they can destroy all sins. Meditating on impurity, etc., or meditating on impermanence, etc., other methods of meditation can also prevent afflictions and non-virtuous deeds from arising, so it is said to be supreme in order to distinguish it from this. This shows that: apart from the sword of emptiness wisdom, other intentions are not like this. In order to enable the wise tamers who follow the teachings of Bhagavan Vairochana to understand, therefore, in this mandala, it manifests as the essence, mudra, and image of the Bodhisattva. Now, in order to show the manifestation of the mandala wheel to those who are completely mature by obtaining the superiority of samadhi and wisdom, the scriptures such as 'Then' are explained. 'Immediately after generating Bodhicitta' means immediately after generating Bodhicitta. The word 'immediately' means without interruption. The Dharma wheel is the mandala wheel, because it has the state of turning the Dharma wheel only by generating Bodhicitta, so it is the mind.
