Because the ground is a method, and it is also a method, and it is also great, therefore it is a great method. Because it is fully endowed with it, it is also called a great method. As for "Supreme Great Supreme," great refers to the totality of the gods, and supreme refers to the lord of the gods. Because it is the supreme of them, it is the supreme of the supreme great. Because it is also the supreme of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, it is the supreme of all. Therefore, he is the master of all things, so he is the Place Master, because he has the nature of being non-dual with all sentient beings. The name Bhagavan has already been explained. For any mind that arises in dependence on the first ground and so on, the Buddha said that the mind that arises for Samantabhadra is extremely pure, so it is called the Great Bodhicitta. The Great Bodhisattva Samantabhadra is also said to be that itself. The meaning of Bodhisattva and the meaning of Samantabhadra have already been explained. As for "the heart of all Tathagatas" and so on, the body of all Tathagatas, the place of the heart that appears differently according to the ability of those to be tamed, abides there. Therefore it is said to reside there. It is said to reside in the center of the moon mandala in the form of Vajrasattva. Then, this word is for connecting the boundaries of situations. If it is said that the Bhagavan Vairochana resides in the place of the king of the Akanishtha gods, and it is said that the Great Bhagavan Vairochana resides in the heart of all Tathagatas, then where do all the Tathagatas reside? How do they exercise the power of emanation bodies according to the wishes of those to be tamed? Therefore it is said that all the Tathagatas are filled throughout this Buddha-field like a sesame pod. It is taught thus, the Tathagatas arise in order to fully ripen sentient beings, therefore they reside in all the places where the realm of sentient beings acts, so what is the use of asking about the fault of the place? Because wisdom and the Dharmakaya both pervade everything, even if they have not been established, due to the power of previous aspirations

English

It refers to the meaning that all Buddhas appear everywhere for the benefit of sentient beings. It is as it is said: Although the protector has passed into Nirvana, he truly benefits sentient beings by the power of the assembly, in the manner of the turning of the wheel of Dharma. Now, for the sentient beings who practice the conduct of mantras, the practice of mantras depends on the teacher, and one should not take the characteristics by oneself. In order to show this meaning, the Bhagavan All-Accomplishing, through the method of mantras, shows that relying on the teachings of the Buddhas of the past leads to enlightenment. Therefore, he speaks of "thereafter" and so on. The word "thereafter" has already been explained. Do those Buddhas, the Bhagavan, benefit sentient beings separately? Or do they benefit them with the same means? They benefit together with the same meaning, the same aspiration, and the same disciples. Therefore, it is said, "Therefore, all the Tathagatas gather together" and so on. Since they are both Tathagatas and all, they are called "all the Tathagatas." Their gathering is to make a gathering and to make a union. The Bodhisattva is called the Bodhicitta. Because he causes the great multitude of sentient beings to enter into great benefit, he is called the great-minded one. Because he perfects the great accumulation of merit and wisdom, he accomplishes all meanings and turns only according to his desires, he is called the All-Accomplishing. Because he takes enlightenment as the essence, it is the essence of enlightenment, because it is the cause of manifest enlightenment. It is said to be the essence of that place, which dwells above all the lands, like the essence of ghee. Entering into that is to abide, that is, the Bhagavan All-Accomplishing, having taken birth in the Shakya clan, shows the play of childhood, shows craftsmanship, dwells among the retinue of concubines, shows renunciation, and also shows departure, and benefits by connecting with those who have previously matured into human beings, and by truly connecting with their lives, and also by appearing to be extremely attached to the views of non-Buddhists and by liberating through asceticism.
