Regarding the practice of the wisdom of mudras, the "great" in "great Bodhi" is in relation to the Bodhi of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Because it is its mind, it is the great Bodhicitta. Accomplishing it is offering. Its mudra, that is, its wisdom, should be practiced. So, how should it be practiced? Therefore, it is said: "Since the Bodhicitta has been firmly generated, think 'I am the Buddha'." This means that because it has Bodhi as its mind, it is called Bodhicitta. Firmly generating it means initially having extreme desire and generating it. Having firmly generated it in this way, contemplate becoming a Buddha as if it were in the palm of your hand, and think, "I am the Buddha." Because the pure Bodhicitta itself can lead to Buddhahood, therefore, the yogi should think, "I am the Buddha." What should be done to achieve this? "With joy, I am the offerer." This means that joy is the delight of the mind. Joy for what? It is for the Bodhicitta itself. Offering with that joy means satisfying it, that is, manifesting it. How will oneself become through that offering? "The bliss of the Buddha can also be attained." This is what is said. This shows that if you contemplate yourself as a Buddha, gradually, the bliss of the Buddha can also be attained. Thus, after showing the offering of the position of Vajrasattva, now showing the offering of the position of Vajraraja, that is, "Since the Bodhicitta has been firmly generated," this has already been said. "Think 'I am the Buddha'," is also the same as before. Among "garlands, etc.," a garland is a precious garland of head ornaments of all Tathagatas. Saying "etc." includes ornaments such as bracelets and armlets. "Excellent offering" means offering with offerings that possess excellent offerings. "If offering" means that if you offer truthfully, you will be granted empowerment. To whom is it granted? Oneself will be granted empowerment by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. This is showing the offering of the position of Vajraraga, that is, "Since the Bodhicitta has been firmly generated."

That and so on have been explained. In the phrase "offering with pleasant songs," the happiness that arises from songs is pleasant songs. Reciting verses with songs, whatever joy of mind arises from speaking the sacred Dharma, that is pleasant songs. If someone, even having taken vows to abstain from singing and dancing, is naturally fond of singing and dancing, then whatever joy of mind arises from singing songs like Ṣaḍava (藏文音译), that is also called pleasant songs. Offering oneself in the form of pleasant songs, "oneself" means one's own mind. The meaning of "that will please" is that one should be happy in samsara for the sake of benefiting sentient beings. The phrase "Bodhi-mind is firmly generated" refers to the Bodhi-mind arising and becoming firm, so that even in other lifetimes, even if occupied by other things until the end of the kalpa, it will not degenerate. Having generated such a firm Bodhi-mind, the phrase "thinking 'I am the Buddha'" means that because all the complete causes are present and there is no doubt about the result, one generates the pride of "I am the Buddha" and becomes extremely delighted in singing and dancing. Even if one has taken vows to abstain from singing and dancing, in order to ripen those sentient beings who are extremely fond of singing and dancing, one performs singing and dancing and thereby offers to oneself, offering with the joy arising from singing and dancing. If "oneself," that is, one's own mind, becomes happy, then the Buddhas will also be pleased by that. Therefore, this is the practice of making the Bodhi-mind firm and of completely ripening sentient beings. All four of these are offerings of Bodhi-mind, so that in any case the Bodhi-mind will become firm, manifest, purified, and will completely ripen sentient beings, and will not completely abandon samsara. Now, in order to present the offering that becomes the means of completely accumulating merit by making the Bodhi-mind firm, next will be explained the contents of "Then, one should train in the wisdom of the mudra of offering to all Buddhas," and so on. Being both Buddha and all, therefore it is "all Buddhas." The offering to them...
