The two can be said to be one, and other different discriminations are also the same. If someone asks: Then, the answer is: That also seems to be true, but it is not so. Because the essence of mantras that appear as signs, such as a single letter, can also symbolize and realize the Dharmakaya. The Rupakaya, which appears as two forms transmitted from the great blessing of the Dharmakaya, can also realize the collection of words such as the essence of the heart that appears as a sign, such as the essence of a single letter. Therefore, in the way of land and paramita, one becomes the cause of the other, or one exists in the fruit of the other, so there is no contradiction in saying that. For example, the two, conventional appearance as a sign and ultimate non-sign, are dharma, and although the two different dharma-nature discriminations appear to be different, there is no contradiction in giving the same name "truth." Mudra means to please or to be able to lift up, so it is called Mudra, because it can please the noble ones, so it is called joy. Because it cannot be destroyed by others, and because it quickly accomplishes the desired things, it is explained as stamping, so it is called Mudra. It appears as a sign from wisdom, or because of the discrimination of signs, so it is also called a sign. Because it is the nature of great wisdom, it is a sign that arises from the supreme blessing, so it is also called a sign. It is a characteristic close to wisdom, or through it wisdom itself is realized, so it is called a close characteristic. Therefore, Mudra, sign, mark, and close characteristic are different names with changed names, and the meaning is the same. Among them, there are also cases where the views of each Tantra differ and argue. Some Tantras believe that both the nature of becoming an image and the nature of selflessness of the person and dharma are Mudra. Some Tantras also believe that the discrimination of ultimate truth itself is also called deity, and those who bless it as the sign of the deity are also considered Mudra. To this, others say, can such different discriminations be called one name? The answer is: To this, if it is comfortable, then the Sutra, but the two are related.
