That which causes all sentient beings to be summoned from their respective places is the Vajra Hook Mother. (Tibetan: ཨ་ཡ་ཧི་ཧཱུཾ་ཧཱུཾ།) means to insert, what does it refer to? It refers to inserting the desired object into it, this is the Vajra Lasso Mother. (Tibetan: ཧེ་སྦོ་ཊ་བཾ།) means to completely bind, what does it refer to? It refers to binding the practitioner and the object to be accomplished as inseparable, this is the Vajra Hook Mother. (Tibetan: གྷཾ་ཊ་ཨ་ཨ།) means to descend or to make joyful, what does it refer to? It refers to the practitioner obtaining the object to be accomplished from that place, or completely generating joy, this is the Vajra Descent. The meaning of the mudra of the Tathagatas and so on has been explained. Above, the method of binding and meditating on the four types of mudras has been explained. Now, the methods and order of pleasing the deities through offerings and recitations will be explained. What is it? This is what the Tathagata does, and so on. Tathagatas and so on refer to the five Tathagatas. Bodhisattvas refer to all Bodhisattvas, including the sixteen great Bodhisattvas and so on. Reciting with mantras refers to the respective mantras of the deities mentioned above. The great mandala is the Vajradhatu mandala. Great mudras and so on refer to the four great mudras. Wanting a vast offering ritual refers to contemplating the Vajradhatu mandala as complete and vast, and for those who want to offer and please them, the four mudras mentioned in the context of the great Vajradhatu mandala should be shown. The objector says: Then here it is necessary to use all these four mudras. Answer: Therefore, whatever is established in the great mandala, and so on, the five Tathagatas established in the great mandala, as well as Bodhisattvas and goddesses, etc., if the yogi offers all these, then he will offer these deities, therefore it is necessary to bless these deities separately with the four mudras, so all the forms of the four mudras must be combined. Then, for others, is it necessary to combine these mudras spoken of in this way? Answer:

Explanation: Whatever is arranged in the mandala of the four mudras, etc., the word "etc." includes the mandala of one mudra. For those who wish to make offerings and please them, all these aspects of the four mudras do not need to be combined during the offering. Therefore, "from this collection of mudras" means that these aspects of the four mudras should not be entirely applied to the mandala of the four mudras and the one mudra. Each should be examined separately, and whatever is certain should be applied separately. The objector says: Can't one mudra bless all, and can't all be blessed by one? Why is it shown like this? "These mudras are" means that the four mudras and the one mudra, whichever mudra is which, should be blessed by that, but not by all. The objector says: If so, then the deity should also be offered to whatever its essence is, and not to other forms? In particular, the words "four mudras," etc., have been spoken. Its special feature is that if one contemplates or writes the mandala of the four mudras and the one mudra and makes offerings, then one should think that all the deities of the Vajradhatu are there and make offerings. The objector says: Why should one think like that? The combination and writing of the four mudras and the one mudra is the condensed characteristic of the great mandala of the Vajradhatu. The word "etc." shows that the remaining mandalas, such as the Three Realms Victorious, should also be understood in the same way. Therefore, for any form residing in the mandala of the four mudras and the one mudra, one should think that all the deities are complete and make all the outer, inner, and secret offerings. The objector says: If so, then will making offerings with such devoted contemplation lead to accomplishment? If done in this way, then the words "this is all the Tathagatas," etc., have been spoken. If done in this way, it means what was shown above. The vow of offering means that, as stated in the karma mandala, even for one form, one should think of the nature of all the Tathagatas and make offerings, and then one will become a Buddha.
