The meaning is, because all the objects of expression are beyond limits, they are not to be known. However, the practitioner who does not understand can see it through the sacred instructions of the guru. Thus, regarding the meaning of what is realized, one should not discriminate with the laws of the two extremes or with the laws of characteristics, nor is it the path to be followed, nor is it to gradually correct one's mind with the antidote to afflictions. Why? These original natures have no fault of discrimination whatsoever. Those original natures, when the practitioner experiences and practices the meaning of it in his mind, then the sacred qualities of the guru are integrated and enter his heart. Such a meaning should be shown to be accomplished by realization, not by diligence. If one realizes in this way, one can sing the song of the heart essence: Although diligently holding mantras and all the tantras, without separation from discrimination, one cannot see. Sentient beings are bound by karma, and liberation from karma and sin is to see the mind. If one can realize one's own mind nature, there is no other way to be liberated. Attaining the supreme state of Nirvana, although it is said to be attained, it is actually the time of realization. The meaning of this is that if one can realize the nature as described above, then great yogis and others sing the song of instruction to guide all sentient beings in samsara to the heart essence of Bodhi: Although the noble ones diligently engage in the scriptures of mantras, wisdom, and the teachings and tantras of the Tathagata, if they are not separated from the various discriminating thoughts, then no one has the opportunity to generate the path of seeing. Why? The beings of samsara are bound by the unfailing ripening of the fruits of good and evil deeds that are discriminated. If there are those who can liberate ordinary consciousness from the pain of good and evil deeds and discriminating thoughts, then they can see that their own mind is the Buddha nature. Thus, realizing one's own mind, there is no other fruit of liberation. Therefore, diligently practicing this to the end, one can attain the supreme state of non-dual Nirvana. Although it is said to be attained, it is actually the time of realization.

If asked, what is there to obtain? So-called obtaining merely demonstrates the activities of individual scholars, and also demonstrates the nature of that very moment of realization. Now, it is to be shown that all dharmas are mind itself. Mind itself is the sole seed of all things. From it, samsara and nirvana appear. Various existences arise from it. That which arises is the Dharmakaya. Other appearances do not exist apart from the Dharmakaya. By thought, it is nirvana itself. The meaning of this is that mind is the Dharmakaya. From that completely pure nature, all self-nature completely increases. Because there is no other seed of production, therefore mind itself is the sole seed of all phenomena of appearance and sound. Therefore, from it, samsara appears as the nature of discrimination, and the nature of peaceful nirvana. All appearances of the various existences of the three realms arise from that nature, like the rays of the sun. Just as the sun and its rays are inseparable, so too are the dharmas of appearance and sound that arise, and the mind itself, the Dharmakaya, are inseparable. No other appearance arises apart from that form of the Dharmakaya. That itself is nirvana by thought; it should not be understood otherwise. Thus, the meaning of realization should be praised: By giving the fruit of desires, like the supreme and excellent wish-fulfilling jewel arises, offering the oral instructions, the mind is like a jewel, especially the yoga, I prostrate to the mind. The meaning of this is, for example, the wish-fulfilling jewel that unfailingly grants the desired objects of sentient beings, the fruit of the enjoyment of samsara. If one makes excellent offerings to it and prays, just as the desired meaning of the offering arises excellently, so too, that which dispels the poverty of suffering of all sentient beings of the three realms is mind itself. If those individuals, male and female, who are the basis, offer offerings of ordinary consciousness with the oral instructions of the guru, and pray with definite understanding of the meaning of mind itself, the fruit of Buddhahood will arise like a jewel. Thus, I prostrate to the mind, the specialty of the yogi who realizes this.
