The state of falling in body and falling in mind will be filled. Without attachment to this, pacify with the bliss of Mahamudra, become accustomed to the essence of the primordial essence, and enter into the meaning of equality, thereby realizing the meaning of suchness as it is. These are like placing moist things such as gooseberries and mangoes in the palms of the hands, and one can know that they have no distinction between inside and outside, and are of a clear nature. Also, like placing the precious gem Asmira on a mirror, when looking upwards, the light does not discriminate, and one sees it as a clear nature. Just as it arises without dependence, when these primordial meanings are realized, all phenomena of appearance and sound are realized as the nature of mind, and with the taste of great bliss, everything is absorbed into the meaning of equality without self. That meaning cannot be examined, and it is difficult to examine, and it does not need to rely on others. It is non-discriminating and clear, and there is no inherent existence, similar to the previous example. That meaning is not realized by other schools such as Uma, so it should be said to them: The primordial nature is not perceived by children, delusion deceives children, the essence speaks thus. The meaning of this is: The primordial nature, that is, suchness itself, is not perceived by those who have discriminations like children. From that suchness, delusion is reversed, deceiving those children and causing them suffering, the essence speaks thus. What is the manner of that suchness? There is no meditation, and there is no renunciation. This is to say that because they understand meditation as what is to be cultivated and who cultivates, they have what is to be thought about, those are suffering. Why? Because of attachment and craving for meditation, and hatred for things other than that. Therefore, the obvious increase of attachment and aversion is only samsara. This has no reliance, therefore there is no meditation, and because of enlightenment, there is accomplishment, so there is also no asceticism and renunciation, etc., which are the basis of all efforts. Then, can it be accomplished by living at home and behaving like ordinary worldly people? No, so it should be said: Householders with wives and children around, if one is attached to the homeland and bound by joy, it is difficult to be liberated.

I have spoken of the supreme meaning that possesses the essence, and that is what touches the truth. The meaning of this is: abandoning secluded places such as mountains, monasteries, riverbanks, empty caves, and forests, residing in homes, enjoying equally with possessions, wives, and retinues, and saying, "I am in meditation," even though meditating on suchness, one is still attached to worldly things, bound by the enjoyment of desires and unable to be liberated. Therefore, attachment and aversion will manifestly increase. So, I say that possessing the supreme meaning of the essence is not touching the truth. Now, I will explain that those meanings of suchness cannot be obtained through investigation. If it is manifest, what is meditation? If it is hidden, it is groping in the dark. The meaning of this is that I said to the Madhyamikas: those knowable things that you desire are appearances that do not arise from the mind. If they arise from the mind, then the mind is the Buddha, because all that is manifest is the Dharmakaya. Because there is nothing to meditate on, what is your meditation that you are meditating on? If you say that those appearances outside are hidden causes of arising, and that they are aspects of consciousness, then because they are different, you cannot measure them, just like groping in the dark, and even if you meditate, it will be meaningless. Now, I will show the nature of that suchness: The innate wisdom of beings, The very nature of real and unreal, The meaning of the essence constantly calls out. The meaning of this is: the innate wisdom, the primordial wisdom that exists in the continuum of all beings, from the very beginning is free from the attachment to the reality of its own nature and the attachment to its non-reality, so this meaning of the essence is ordinary wisdom, and through realization, one becomes a Buddha. Everything is the nature of great bliss, so one constantly calls out with melodious cries, cries of bliss, and cries of fame. If you ask: how soon can these definitely attain Buddhahood? Now, I will show the difference in views: If one takes and abandons birth, aging, dwelling, and change, Then by taking and abandoning that, one achieves the supreme great bliss, A melodious sound.
