Earth-birth does not exist, what is the use of saying much? The third is also unreasonable, because self and other are extremely contradictory. Moreover, a sprout is not a phenomenon that arises from its own nature, and the nature of the other is the seed. If it exists, how can it arise from both? However, if a sprout that is about to grow can obtain other seeds, then is it possible that it arises a little from itself and a little from the other? The nature of the growing self is not existent, so it is the other. Otherwise, how can it be shown to be growing? If that is the case, what does the other seed do? Because it is complete from itself. Therefore, it is unreasonable to be in the process of growing. What does not exist cannot arise, just like a rabbit's horn. This is extensively explained by the noble Nagarjuna: "Not from oneself, not from another, not from both," etc., as taught in the chapter on analysis in the Middle Way. The meaning of this should be understood from there. It is not mentioned due to fear of lengthy texts. Non-existence is to be meditated upon, so it is the object of meditation, that is, to be meditated upon repeatedly in the mind. Moreover, there is no such thing as this kind of special unbirth. By negating these meditations on objects, the meditator is also clearly negated, because of unbirth. After generally negating objects and the meditation based on them, it is specifically taught from the perspective of the elements, etc. Not elements, in short, the eighteen elements are the elements. For example, the element of form, and similarly, sound, smell, taste, touch, dharma, eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind, as well as eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, and mind consciousness. It relies on the eye and also relies on form, and thus eye consciousness arises, appearing as blue, etc. Similarly, up to the mind, it also relies on the mind and relies on dharma, and thus mind consciousness arises, appearing as the realm of dharma. In this regard, form and eye, etc., cannot reasonably be one and many, etc., so neither exists. Therefore, the consciousness that depends on it also does not exist. Similarly, as far as possible,

Until the interval of wisdom. That is, because there is no object of knowledge, the knowing is also blocked. Buddhahood itself is attained through bliss. This is what is being taught. Thus, having blocked the elements, in order to negate the alaya-consciousness, which is the basis for all the latent imprints where all these will dissolve, it is said, "Not consciousness," the meaning of which is this: As before, the objects are blocked, so why would the subject be blocked? Furthermore, in order to clarify the meaning with an example, it is said, "Equal to the center of the sky." Being equal to the sky is the same, up to the point of being one in essence. Just as the sky is unborn and unceasing, unmade, unchanging, not constantly abiding, not distinctly abiding, so too are all phenomena, this is the meaning. The place equal to the sky is the center, the beginning. Or, having dissolved into and become equal to the center of the sky, it is thus. Even though it is distinct, in order to pacify the imputation of self and so on, it is said, "Like the sky," just as the sky is without self, that which is the past and separated self, that is what it is called. "Self" is indicative of abandoning self, sentient beings, life, nourishment, individuals, persons, powerful ones, lords of power, agents, intelligence, and so on. "This" refers to this very thing. "This dharma is great bliss," all dharmas are great bliss, because all thoughts are exhausted, therefore it is bliss. Again, it is said from the perspective of earth and so on: "Neither earth nor water." "Not earth" means it is not the substance of earth. "Not water" means it is not the nature of liquid. "Not fire" means it is not warmth. "Not wind" means it is not increasing, expanding, or moving. "Not space" means it is like fire, burning all things that are measured, therefore it is space. If there is no thing at all, then how is the Yama, the slayer, generated? Therefore, it is said, "By the union of Vajrasattva." Vajra is like a dream, an image, and an illusion.
