Seated in the lotus posture. The Bodhisattva spoke thus. This means that the Bodhisattvas also unite inseparably with the consorts, and sit in the lotus posture as before. The wrathful mother stretches out her left leg. This means that the wrathful deities and wrathful mothers also unite inseparably, the wrathful deity stretches out the right leg and bends the left, and the wrathful mother stretches out the left leg and bends the right. The mandalas and so on are those to be generated. All are sealed with the four samaya seals, which means that the mandalas and so on are the Tathagatas of the five families of generation, all of whom possess the four mudras, so it is called sealing with the four samaya seals. Among these, the four mudras are: the very nature of abiding in the form of one's own name and marks, etc., is the great mudra. The father possessing the mother and the mother possessing the father are their respective samayas, so their respective samaya is the samaya mudra. The great bliss experienced by uniting these two inseparably is the dharma nature mudra. Having experienced it in this way, from the nature of great bliss, the mind of enlightenment, manifesting bodies and performing deeds in accordance with how sentient beings are subdued is the karma mudra. These four and the four mentioned above should be understood properly. When combined in this way, one should practice the subtle yoga, which means that, as mentioned above, one should arrange the deities in the mandala, contemplate them as abiding in a state of non-duality, and then practice the vajra subtle samadhi as it will appear below. Why is the subtle samadhi taught here? Because the order of the lower dharmas such as yoga is to recite after samadhi, so it is taught in accordance with them. Contemplating the mandala in this way is samadhi, so the subtle yoga is taught as recitation. Or, because this is a great practice divided into four branches, it is taught in this way. Among these, the four branches are: from "body, speech, mind, and vajra" to "seeing selflessness of self-nature" is approaching. From "contemplating the letters" to "the three letters dissolve"

From "May the Bodhicitta be pleasing everywhere" to "Meditate on the essence of form" is the great practice of approach. From "The mantra body is ultimate" to "Thus all meanings are well entered" is the close approach. From "Lord of all Buddhas, the main one" to "Om Sarva Tathagata Citta Vajra (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओंसर्वतथागतचित्तवज्र, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ sarvatathāgatacittavajra, Literal meaning: Om, all Tathagatas, mind, Vajra)" is the close approach of the close approach. Thus, after blessing oneself, from "The supreme letter is sacred" is the practice of the close approach. Thus, at that time, making the mind workable with the Samadhi of the subtle Vajra is the great practice of the close approach. From "The mantra practitioner who abides by the vows" to "Focus on the mouth and the lotus" is the approach of practice. Hum (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) is called Vajra purification, from "Om Sarva Tathagata Anuraga (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओंसर्वतथागता अनुरग, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ sarvatathāgatā anurāga, Literal meaning: Om, all Tathagatas, love)" is the great approach of practice. The yogi contemplates a mustard seed on the tip of his nose, and until it manifests as apparent, the mind is on other objects.
