is false, like a Gandharva city and a moon in water. Thus, the Bhagavan said in the Prajnaparamita and other sutras: Even the Buddha is like a dream, like an illusion. Why is that? Because Nirvana is no different from illusion. Nirvana is also like an illusion, like a dream. If there is another Dharma that is more excellent than Nirvana, it should also be said to be like a dream, like an illusion. What is meant by 'without self-nature'? As previously stated, the Buddha himself is what should be accomplished. Then, the emptiness that possesses all excellent aspects is itself without self-nature. It itself is Suchness, the true limit, the selflessness of phenomena, the profundity of phenomena, the equality of phenomena, the certainty of phenomena, the thusness of phenomena, the nature of phenomena, the ultimate meaning, the unsurpassed Bodhi, and the non-dual wisdom, etc., are expressed by those names. So, what is the emptiness that possesses all excellent aspects here? The answer is, as the Bhagavan said in the Mahayana sutras such as the Ratnakuta Sutra: 'Not separate from the perfection of generosity, not separate from the perfection of discipline, up to not separate from the perfection of wisdom, not separate from the complete enjoyment body, etc., not separate from the mindfulness, etc., all the Buddha Dharmas,' this is called the emptiness that possesses all excellent aspects. The definitive word is everything, and it is also the form of pots, cloths, carts, etc., belonging to the three realms, so it is all aspects. Among them, which is particularly excellent? The nature of the complete enjoyment body, etc., and the perfection of generosity, etc., are excellent, and that which corresponds to and possesses this is the emptiness that abides in its own nature, and that is the emptiness that possesses all excellent aspects, not a flower in the sky or a rabbit's horn.

It is not the emptiness that obstructs, because it is the nature of non-existence, so the Blessed One cannot directly perceive it, because it has already been refuted. However, if one clings to emptiness, which possesses all excellent aspects, as being the true reality, the essence, etc., then at that time, that will also become a cause for falling into hell due to inferior views. As the Blessed One said: The view of emptiness is the source from which all views arise. Whose view of emptiness is, that is not to be established. If one has a wrong view of emptiness, one with little wisdom will be destroyed. Just like a snake being wrongly grasped, or a mantra being wrongly practiced. Thus it is said. What is the most well-known emptiness in the world, without distinction? Things like Buddhas will not become emptiness, if they become things. If it is said to be different, then things like Buddhas will not become emptiness, because the meaning of the thing of emptiness that is different from things, with the nature of having self-nature, cannot make all non-emptiness become emptiness. Thus it is also said: In that, neither true nor untrue, one who abides by self-nature, self-nature is not curable, how can that be transformed into another? Thus it is said. If it is said that by meditating on the reasoning of otherness of emptiness, all things are made empty and destroyed? If that were the case, then when past Buddhas and others directly realized the reasoning of meditating on emptiness, at that time the things of the three realms would become invisible, and a particularly excellent self-nature would appear, then how can the reasoning of meditating on the otherness of emptiness make them empty and become the characteristic of destruction? Thus it is said: This variety of worldly appearances is not to be abandoned. The conceptual clinging of individuals should also be abandoned. The variety of the world abides as it is. Therefore, the wise abandon what should be abandoned. Thus it is said. However, making it empty, like destroying a vase with a hammer, is the thing itself.

If emptiness as distinct entities becomes space, it cannot make things empty, because contemplating space, which is not a form, does not show things to be destroyed. There is no contradiction between space and all things, because they are seen to exist together. If space and things were to be destroyed, then no things would appear, because they are contradictory. If emptiness is not different from things, then self and emptiness are not different, because it is emptiness. How do things that are not other make emptiness? As it is said: Emptiness is not other than things, without it there are no things. It is also said: Form is emptiness, and emptiness is not other than form. Similarly, feeling, thought, action, and consciousness, etc., should be applied to all things. However, those who think that the nature of things, which is different from things, is emptiness, are slandering the Buddha, the Bhagavan, because the Buddha himself refutes difference by the very difference of things, and shows non-different emptiness by decrees such as "all dharmas are empty, all dharmas are without self-nature." It is also slandering the Dharma, because it is precisely because it shows that all dharmas are without self-nature. It is also slandering the Sangha, because the Sangha has directly realized that all dharmas are without self-nature. Therefore, all things are emptiness, and emptiness alone is things. The teacher Nagarjuna also said: All beings are cause and effect, there are no other beings than this. From the dharmas of emptiness alone, the dharmas of emptiness arise. If it is said that all things are empty, does that mean that all things do not exist? It is not taught in that way, because all things are empty, and in the statement that all things do not exist, the meaning of the words empty and non-existent is different.
