Because of ignorance regarding form and so on, the palace is adorned with colors and shapes that appear, and at this time it is visualized as the nature of the goddess. Why is that? Because it is not the time to explain the mandala of emptiness. The root tantra also says: "Adorned with the five desirable qualities." What is meant by "pure with the same cause as the dharmadhatu" is that the dharmadhatu is the prajnaparamita of non-duality. Its common cause is the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha that arise from it. Because it is unchanging and one, it is called that. Those are completely pure, so they are called the five foods, that is, the palace is adorned with flowers, incense, lamps, perfume, and torma, and those are called that. All the qualities of the Buddha, as many as there are, are desired to appear in that way, because everything is the common cause of the dharmadhatu. Therefore, the lama said: "Flowers, incense, water, great lamp, perfume is called the mandala, the joyful lamp of dharma, incense of praises gathered, flowers of the limbs of enlightenment, the food of dharma is the torma." The root tantra also says: "Adorned with the five offerings." What is meant by various lotuses is the nineteen seats of the lotus deities of various colors. Although it is shown to be no different from all beings, it is not defiled by the faults that belong to it, so it is beautified with seats with stems. What is meant by the sun is seven, and it should be known that they reside in the tables of the south, west, and north, and the four doors in various lotus places. It eliminates the darkness of ignorance that belongs to the continuum of all sentient beings, and dries up the mire of the ten non-virtuous actions, and ripens the sprout of bodhicitta, so it is the nature of wisdom. What is meant by together with the moon is twelve, residing in various places in the remaining places. It pacifies the suffering of all sentient beings, and ripens the sprout of the root of virtue, so it is great compassion.
