These are the assemblies of the lotus family. The retinue is the various lands. Furthermore, in the Paramita Vehicle, it is said, "This is what a Bodhisattva should cut off life, should not take what is not given," and so on, up to "should become a holder of wrong views." Here, the true meaning intended is that life means "existence" and "sentient beings." Cutting it off is more serious than falling into samsara, and liberating from samsara is cutting off life. Taking what is not given means, with compassion, taking away from sentient beings what is not given and completely mastering it, thereby benefiting them. All things grasped by childish people are seen as evil, and this is wrong view. Similarly, the true meaning of the views of the other two vehicles should also be understood. Similarly, in the Secret Mantra Vehicle, it is said, "You should kill living beings," and so on, which should be understood from the mouth of the guru and so on. The many true meanings spoken of in this tantra are well explained in the eighteenth chapter. The remaining ones spoken of in other tantras and vehicles should be understood through reasonable logic or extraordinary instructions. It is necessary to understand the true meaning of all views with certainty. Otherwise, one will doubt the true meaning or cling to wrong ideas. Here, the Secret Mantra Vehicle is ordinary, and mentioning the two vehicles is for the sake of example or for the sake of increasing hearing. Knowledge and so on will be explained later. The three samadhis are the initial union, the supreme king of mandalas, and the supreme king of actions. Common siddhis are siddhis such as invisibility. The other is the supreme of siddhis, which is the siddhi of Mahamudra and so on. The distinctions of the tantric texts should be known. This refers to this tantra itself, or all tantras. Vows and precepts will be explained later. One should strive diligently in wisdom yoga. Wisdom yoga is yoga in which wisdom is the main focus, that is, wisdom yoga.

Therefore, diligence is simply learning to be very accustomed. Mantras are exhausted in fame. Tantras are the wheels of reversal, and so on. Being skilled in the combination of these is being proficient in activities such as pacification. Having such qualities is suitable for accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, and the benefit of sentient beings is all benefits, such as the siddhi of Mahamudra and entering the mandala. Suitable means appropriate, which means the meaning of being in control. Why is it said that only these qualities are suitable? How many other qualities arise from other sources? "Stable, gentle, and intelligent, patient, upright, and without deceit." There are teachings such as these, but they are not mentioned here. Therefore, it is said to be endowed with generosity, etc., because even if one is endowed with qualities such as generosity, if one praises with the qualities mentioned above, it is not suitable. Why? If one has the qualities mentioned earlier, then qualities such as generosity will definitely arise. Therefore, it is said that only what was said before is suitable. Moreover, here it would become necessary to practice what one cannot practice. I do not want to explain that one has generosity, etc., like a lion, the moon, etc. If one does not have generosity, etc., that is in accordance, how can one obtain empowerment, etc.? These are saying that it is suitable to do things such as drawing mandalas. When drawing a mandala, in order to show what should be done first, it is said to be endowed with love, etc., cultivating compassion for all sentient beings, having asceticism with vows and precepts, having the recitation of secret mantras, having faith because there is no doubt about the meaning of mantras, and the selflessness of all dharmas, knowing the profound suchness because of particularly believing in the great nature of the Buddha, and one's own wheel, the gentle vajra mandala, abiding in that way, therefore, first practicing approach, and then drawing that mandala.
