Moreover, the reason for this is not to be found here. Because the mind power of generosity and so on is mostly the object of its own nature that is not vast. Moreover, aspiration is also taking the greatness of the Buddha, which is fulfilled by extremely long kalpas in time, as its own object, so it is not the antidote to the conceptualization of a non-vast self. Because the ordinary self does not benefit limitless beings, it should be abandoned with attachment. Even if the mind power of generosity and so on, which has become a companion of aspiration, can enter well into the antidote of the nature of the Bodhisattva, its continuum will not regress. From where can one truly believe that it will regress at other times? Because one has not seen the sight of clinging to the profound (emptiness) and causing one's own unfavorable qualities to be exhausted. Meditating on others who are contrary to oneself and without self cannot well establish the defilement of the conceptualization of no self, because that contradicts one's own nature of conceptualization, so there is no place to enter. When one directly realizes emptiness such as clinging from the perspective of being non-different from one's own mind, then it is the antidote to all non-true conceptualizations, and if the practice that is recognized in that way becomes very skilled, it will generate the state of eliminating all conceptualizations, because it is conceptualization, so it will become the object of the action of those who prioritize conceptualization. Therefore, it is not vast.

Is it not? If that which is to be cultivated, how can it accomplish the desired fruit? That is not the case. Because, like exhausted lands and so on, being accustomed to cultivating what is not true is itself the cause of clear appearance. How is this not true? Because entering by imposing its essence on one's own nature, which is separate from the form of the fully enlightened Buddha, is merely faith-based attention. If that is the case, then even attending to suchness itself is not true, because it does not enter the object as it is. Likewise, attending to suchness, which is the nature of non-conceptualization, is also not the same, because it enters with the nature of conceptualization in the stage of the first practitioner. Even if it is with conceptualization, nevertheless, because suchness is determined by it due to the way things truly abide, it should be established as attending to suchness. Other than that, since it is imposing on an extremely non-existent self-nature, the term "faith-based attention" is applied, because in an ordinary self-nature, even without the form of the supreme Victor, it attends as if it were suchness. That is not the case, because if attending to selflessness makes the self-nature that abides as it is an object, then is it that one's own object appears separately, or does it become an object of inverted conceptualization and attend? In this regard, in the first case, that faith-based attention is also the same as others, because it enters as fully grasping the form that has become its own object. In the other case, faith-based attention will become impaired. An object that is not cognized by one's own consciousness is especially not an object of the term "faith-based," because all consciousnesses are of the nature of conceptualization that desires their own object. In this regard, the second case is also not reasonable, because the consciousness of selflessness does not make attachment and so on an object. Other than consciousness, another is not called its object.

In what way is the other treated as an object? Therefore, just as focusing on Suchness, how could it not be the correct understanding of the vast realm, since the object is merely the appearance of one's own consciousness? This ordinary nature does not enter by clinging to the appearance of vastness, because believing in the ordinary nature will not take the form of the perfect Buddha's body as an object, so it is impossible to cling to a non-object. The ordinary nature is the characteristic of appearing as ordinary conceptual thought. Focusing on the realm of activity of the Sugata's form has great power, because that is not what appears as its nature. If it is not the nature of vastness, and does not attach any other clinging to its own nature, then how can it become the antidote to this (ordinary nature)? Because focusing on the appearance of the Sugata's own nature, its nature will arise as a non-ordinary nature. And, because of constantly practicing meditation, the arising of similar wisdom is a very clear cause. When vast wisdom arises, at that time the realm of activity of the ordinary appearance will not be experienced by wisdom. If one cannot comprehend the ordinary nature, one cannot ascertain its existence, because it has been determined that it is merely the nature of conceptual thought. Therefore, one should practice the nature of Samantabhadra, which is free from all conceptual thoughts and has unobstructed radiance. That alone is a vessel for Bodhi. It is said: By what mudra rituals, in countless kalpas, the state of Buddhahood cannot be attained, it can be attained in this very life. One should regard it as oneself. From "One should regard it as oneself" to "Therefore, one should contemplate oneself by the yoga of one's own deity" is what is said. Therefore, relying on correct attention, the Bhagavan, with perfectly complete wisdom, also praised the perfect practice of that yoga of Suchness. Believing in the perfect Buddha is no different from perfect yoga.
