The sound of "nai" refers to birth, and because of victory over that, it is called Jina-jik, meaning that it is not born from an examined nature. The term "all meanings" refers to that which is equal to all meanings, from which everything arises; that pure mind-essence is the jewel. Moreover, because the feeler perceives it with certainty through self-awareness, it is called "holding the jewel in the mind of pure feeling." Among "entity, characteristic, and object," entity refers to blue and yellow, and so on. Characteristic refers to its examination. Object refers to the nature of the sixth consciousness of discrimination, which discriminates in various ways and discriminates the meaning of sentient beings. That which is said to symbolize the sign of purity is Aro-lika. The term "perfecting discriminating wisdom" refers to the consciousness that teaches the perfection of love and compassion, which is the nature of the wisdom of accomplishing activities, called wisdom-holder. Because it holds it, it is said that the pure mind that can intend and think is the wisdom-holder. To answer the question, "Then what is the Tathagata-gotra here?" it is said that "Gotra refers to lineage." Such and so forth are said. The term "indestructible" refers to the non-dual nature of the five Tathagatas, which is not subject to destruction. The term "what is unborn" refers to the absence of birth due to the single and diverse transformations of the dharmas of body, speech, and mind, because of the purity of the Tathagatas, it is unborn. Therefore, it is said, "The gotra is these five." Previously, the purity of the Buddhas has been explained from the perspective of mantra; now, from the perspective of cause and effect, the purity is explained through the perspective of the aggregates. The term cause and effect refers to the manifest clinging to cause as cause itself and effect as effect itself; this is the explanation of the tenets of the Paramitas. The consciousness of the destruction of those two, that is, the nature of the aggregate of consciousness, is said to be hatred, because cause and effect are not different.
