The general meaning or nature of introduction should be understood as threefold. What are they? They are: the basis, the nature, and the categorization into distinctions. Furthermore, if explained in relation to the meaning of the tantra, the basis refers to the first chapter. The so-called nature refers to the second chapter until the end, encompassing all the beginning and ending meanings of this tantra. The distinction refers to the fact that within each chapter of the tantra, various differences in mandalas, empowerments, activities, and methods of practice are shown separately. The term "categorization" means that if those many teachings are briefly summarized, they are shown categorized into those three aspects, or categorized into two aspects, as will be explained below. How are they categorized? As the teachings state: Basis and means, Accomplish the meaning of the three tantras. Nature, the cause of no nature, Likewise, the fruit has no collection. As it is said, first, the later is made into the fruit from the cause, and it is also shown to be without self-nature. How is it shown? The so-called basis refers to the first chapter acting as the cause, from which the complete tantra, such as the second chapter, arises. Thus, the first chapter, which is the basis, and the second chapter, which is spoken of as nature, are synonyms for means, which is the meaning of the cause. Basis and means, what arises from the cause is called the three aspects, which show the meaning of the three aspects of body, speech, and mind. Previously, the first chapter was called the basis, and the second chapter onwards was called the nature, and showing the nature of those meanings is called the distinction. By making those three the cause, drawing the mandalas of body, speech, and mind, giving empowerments, practicing, starting activities, and so on, showing those meanings in that way is shown as the reasoning for accomplishing the meaning of the tantra. Among them, the nature, that is, the meaning of the tantra, is the cause for accomplishing the non-self-nature, the Vajrayana, the non-abiding nirvana. The meaning of the tantra is to establish the non-abiding nirvana as the fruit. So, if the meaning of the tantra is without self-nature, there is also a collection, it seems that it is only collected into body, speech, and mind. Then, is there a collection or not in obtaining the fruit? Like that.

There is no fruit to be collected. Just as the meaning of the tantra has no self-nature, it is in accordance with nirvana also having no self-nature. Although tantra can be collected, there is no fruit to be collected in nirvana. Why is that? Although tantra has no self-nature, it must distinguish all the characteristics of the deities, mandalas, and activities, and show them separately and clearly, so it can be collected. But the fruit of nirvana, its self-nature is like the sky, from all aspects to all aspects, it abides in the nature of pervading all, therefore the two, self-nature and fruit, cannot be collected and analyzed in one direction. If explained in relation to the self-nature of the deities, then "basis" refers to the place of origin and the basis of dependence where all the great qualities of the indivisibility of the realm of reality and wisdom arise, which is the Great Vajradhara. Self-nature is the union of skillful means and wisdom, which is the general characteristic of all deities. Difference refers to the different differences that appear from the central main deity to the gatekeepers, such as Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, goddesses, consorts, wrathful deities, and wrathful mothers, which will be briefly explained in this tantra. How to collect? The basis is pure, that is, the great Vajradhara; the means are pure, that is, the means are mainly explained, and the union of means and wisdom is also shown. Since this also leads to the cause, the fruit arising from the Great Vajradhara and the union of means and wisdom as the cause is called the three, that is, the mandala of body, speech, and mind, which is the appearance of Buddhas and Buddha-mothers collected in three ways: outer, inner, and secret. As mentioned above, since the basis, self-nature, and difference have been explained, the three as the cause and the three as the fruit, the outer, inner, and secret mandalas of body, speech, and mind, are collected, and explaining it in this way is to prove the meaning of the tantra, that is, it is to specifically explain the reason that conforms to the definition and meaning of the tantra. Secondly, because the word "prove" leads the tantra, it can also be understood that the deities appearing as the mandala of body, speech, and mind abide in the spoken tantra for the meaning of the arising of the tantra. The so-called cause without self-nature is the self-nature of the deities.
