Again accumulated. The discriminations arising from inherent nature instantly seize it. This is because of this. Among them, discriminations are the dharmas arising from minds that are virtuous, non-virtuous, and unspecified. What are they like? Those arising from inherent nature are inherent nature itself. Those inherent natures are also of three types: the inherent nature of wisdom, the inherent nature of skillful means, and the inherent nature of ignorance. Among them, the inherent nature of wisdom is detachment from desire, intermediate desire, great desire, and so forth, which will be explained below as thirty-three. The inherent nature of skillful means is desire, intermediate desire, and so forth, which are forty. The inherent nature of ignorance is intermediate desire, and so forth, which are seven. These become one hundred and sixty during the day and night. These become all the afflictions and sixty-two views. The divisions of the sixty-two views are: form is the self, the self is in form, form is in the self, form and self are non-existent, and undifferentiated like firewood. Similarly, if feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are combined, there will be twenty views. These, when divided by the three times of past, present, and future, become sixty views. The two views of permanence and annihilation, in total, are sixty-two views. Therefore, afflictions, near afflictions, and so forth, and all views are non-different from these three inherent natures of wisdom, skillful means, and ignorance, and should be included within them. Therefore, all mental events are inherent natures themselves. The three consciousnesses bound by those inherent natures will revolve in samsara. As it is said: Apart from the root place, there is no place for dancing. By the distinctions of various actions, where do sentient beings not dance? This is because of this. Those three consciousnesses are also mind, intellect, consciousness, as well as emptiness, extreme emptiness, great emptiness, as well as appearance, expanding appearance, nearly attained appearance, as well as wisdom, skillful means, ignorance, as well as detachment from desire, desire, as well as desire.

The terms such as medium, inferior, sharp, intermediate, moon, sun, night, day, boundary, female, male, hermaphrodite, etc., should be distinguished. That is, by purifying with the previously shown sequence of mudras or the sequence of mantras, the yogi will abide in the clear light of the mind that is free from all aspects of nature. In order to explain the order of the third stage, (the text says:) "Abiding in the illusory samadhi." Thus it was declared. That is, the generation stage, the vajra recitation, and the stage of focusing on the mind, these three can completely purify body, speech, and mind, and because they possess the fruit of previous aspirations. As stated by the Great Lord, in order to abandon the aspect of annihilation, and in order to accomplish the benefit until the end of the kalpa, just like the enlightenment of the Hearers, in order to completely abandon the truth of cessation, the yogi abides in the illusory samadhi. If one knows how to generate the body of Vajradhara, which is like Indra's bow, which is like space, then how should it be generated? It is said: Consciousness, although its essence is without appearance, is merely the nature of appearance. That is, first, from the clear light of the mind, the form of the rays of five colors appears, then like the appearance of the moon, then like the appearance of the sun, then like the appearance of twilight. When all become one, the deity body of the mind's own nature, endowed with all excellent aspects, will be born. This is also approximately represented by twelve metaphors such as dreams and illusions. This is the Buddha's body of the mind's own nature. Then, how can formless wisdom appear as objects such as hands? It is said: Because appearance is not realized, the five aggregates such as form will not become objects of focus, and appearance is also the general dharma of wisdom. Therefore, whatever appears, that is the image of wisdom, because non-appearance transcends the image of wisdom. For the time being, the body of wisdom should be combined with the twelve metaphors of illusion, like Indra's bow, which is
