In order to sever, whichever yogi realizes self-nature purity, he knows the stages of union, thus it is said. Likewise, the formed is mantra, and the wisdom and vajra body, etc. The formless is luminosity, whoever knows these two to be non-different, he will attain the stages of union, which is the common meaning, and the ultimate of the hidden essence. In order to explain the benefit of attaining that very nature, therefore, from wherever the yogi, abides in the stages of union, he sees the all-knowing itself, and is called the holder of various. Thus it is said, by the characteristic of making all discriminations of similar and dissimilar kinds non-dual, the yogi who abides in the stages of union is called the all-knowing and seeing that very nature, because of seeing that very nature, he is called all-knowing. And how is it? Holding various, is for the sake of taming the various beings to be tamed by various means, holding various, is just as it sounds. In order to explain the state of non-learning, manifestly enlightened by the net of illusion, crossed over the ocean of samsara, the great yogi who has done what is to be done, abides in the manner of the two truths. Thus it is said, abiding in the manner of the two truths, is the yogi who abides in the path of union, having done what is to be done, is accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others, this is the remainder of speech, because there is no other to be done. The absence of those is also because of non-learning. By what cause is it done? The net of illusion, is the cycle of transformation by the collection of various natures itself is illusion, manifestly enlightened is knowing its nature, because of that very nature. In samsara, the virtue arising from the collection of natures, and the characteristics of the good and bad destinies arising from the power of non-virtuous actions, knowing its nature with non-dual wisdom, therefore crossing over to the other shore, is attaining the characteristic of not abiding in samsara and nirvana. Because of that very nature, the great yogi is great in relation to the four stages, it is the ultimate meaning.

To. In order to explain the various terms to those who are attached to names, that is non-dual wisdom, non-abiding nirvana. The Buddha Vajrasattva himself, is also the lord of all, like a vajra samadhi, the place of the completion stage itself, like an illusion samadhi, thus it is said to be non-dual. Thus, two verses are spoken, these are explained through the various terms of the union stage. Among them, non-dual wisdom is non-dual because conventional truth and ultimate truth are not different, that itself is wisdom, because there is no wisdom, so it is non-dual wisdom. Because it does not abide in samsara and nirvana, it is non-abiding nirvana. As it is said: Wisdom does not abide in existence, compassion does not abide in cessation, without skillful means it is long, with skillful means it is also long. And so on. Among them, with the Prajnaparamita, one does not abide in the illusion-like samadhi, and with the Paramitas such as generosity, one also does not abide in the self-luminous nature, it is the nature of non-abiding nirvana. Similarly, because one completely knows the nature of all dharmas, this itself is the Buddha. Similarly, vajra is indivisible wisdom, to this, mind is the intention of where it is directed, that is Vajrasattva, this is what is to be declared. Similarly, because it is non-dual, vajra is indivisible, mind is sattva, because it is supreme, it is the nature of the complete enjoyment body. Vajra also is, and mind is also that itself, Vajrasattva is the nature of dharma and the complete enjoyment body without difference, thus it is declared. The combination of the lordship of the body of all lords, or the combination of atoms, or the combination of six qualities. Similarly, like a vajra samadhi, it is like a vajra because it is indivisible, it is the first moment of the all-illuminating ground. Similarly, this samadhi itself is the completion stage, because it is beyond learning. The name of vajra recitation and so on.

I am also the proximate cause, the proximate cause of the result, because it is the cause of that result. The Samadhi like illusion, because the conventional appears as false, the ultimate appears as non-existent, appearing as non-dual and inseparable. The Samadhi like illusion also has two types, those from treatises and those from oral transmission. Among them, those from treatises appear as separate falsehoods, and those from oral transmission are explained in three stages. Here, those from treatises should also be taken. This itself is said to be non-dual by the aforementioned reasoning, which is ultimate. Furthermore, in order to explain the synonyms of this itself, it is said: Whatever sound is unborn, etc., explained by non-dual wisdom, all are words of this, in which no other is said. As it is said, in the Sutra Pitaka, Tantra Pitaka, and the King of Illusions, the sound of unborn, etc., is the sound spoken of as unborn, the true limit, suchness, emptiness, equality, the Middle Way, the Perfection of Wisdom, etc. Because all aspects are explained by non-dual wisdom, the words of this only express the stages of union. In the Sutra Pitaka, etc., others are not taught, because no other suchness beyond that is taught. In order to explain that relying on this order, the Buddhas of the past attained the siddhi of Mahamudra, it is said: The Buddhas of the Ganges sands, relying on this ground, understanding those who are free from existence and non-existence, the nature of Mahamudra is accomplished. As it is said, relying on this completion stage itself, the Buddhas equal to the sands of the Ganges attained the siddhi of Mahamudra. How is that? Free from existence and non-existence, that is, the objects conceived by the grasped, the grasper, and the grasper, etc., whether they are considered to be solid or momentary, etc., that is the side of existence, and those who merely speak of annihilation, such as the Lokayata, are the side of non-existence.
