It transforms into the form of all verbal elaborations through the distinctions of letters, words, and speech, etc. It is not multiple because it gathers all things closely, and it is not one because all speech arises from it. It is like the inexpressible ultimate reality. Furthermore, what is called 'later and similar' is merely invisible. The Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) dissolves into Ah, and that dissolves into Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), and the foot of Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) dissolves into Ha, and from Ha, after removing A, Ha dissolves into the head, and the head dissolves into the bindu, and the bindu should dissolve into A. For the sake of explaining that, it is said: 'Whatever letters were previously spoken, and whatever manifestly appear, female, male, and neuter, thoroughly examine the elements and so forth.' It is said that the letters of the nature of vowels and consonants were previously spoken, and likewise, those that manifestly appear, which are primarily the Ya, Ra, La, and Va that are the basis for the peaceful and so forth, all of those should be known as being of the nature of female, male, and neuter. The sign of the female is the letter A. The sign of the male is the letter Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). The sign of the neuter is the letter Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡). Here, the characteristics of the signs made by grammarians and so forth should not be taken, because they are deceptive and therefore not logical. Here, since it does not go beyond the object to be pervaded and the object that pervades, other characteristics of signs are not seen. The nature of phenomena is the pervader, and the phenomenon is the pervaded. Those are wisdom and means. Because wisdom is great bliss, and means is the pervaded, means is not wisdom, because it is to be established by it. Thus, the objects to be expressed by A and so forth are indeed the pervaded. Therefore, vowels are established as being of the nature of wisdom, and consonants as being of the nature of means. The four, Ya, Ra, La, and Va, are of the nature of the container world, and are neuter. When all the vowels from A up to the tsheg drag are gathered, the letter A is female because it gathers all the existing vowels. When the letters from Ka up to Ha are individually gathered in reverse order, the letter Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) is of the nature of means, and is male. The last of the four, Ya, Ra, La, and Va, is the letter...

Having made the single sound "wa" and combined it with the "a" of other letters, all of these also arise after the nasal sound. The vowel that arises after, Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), is called neuter. If no other sign can be discerned apart from wisdom and means, nevertheless, in the worldly convention, the term for feminine names is seen. To thoroughly examine the elements and so forth, these are not only the single nature of women and so forth, but as long as the elements and so forth are the basis of language, verbs, agents, collections, actions, what is beneficial to it, possessive words, and other words, and time, person, number, letters, words, and great speech and so forth, up to the eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, they are thoroughly examined into the form of various languages and so forth, to show. Or, the elements and so forth are the three realms, the three bodies, the three channels, the three samādhis, the nature of body, speech, and mind and so forth, to thoroughly examine, to show. In order to explain the actions of these, it is said, "In what is below and above, having known, with mind, definitely combine." Among these, the letter Oṃ goes downward, because it is the nature of entering. What goes upward is the letter Hūṃ, because it is the nature of rising. What is combined is the letter A, which abides in equality. Then, for the winds that naturally exist, why is there a need for distinctions such as below and above? It is said, "Having known, with mind, definitely combine." Even if entering and so forth are naturally accomplished, ordinary beings do not know because of the power of ignorance. Therefore, if one knows without losing the limbs and definitely combines with the mind, then for the yogi, it makes the nature clear, this is the remainder of the sentence. Therefore, what has not been obtained is not obtained, what is not known is known, so it is the completion stage. In order to explain the approaching and gathering, it is said, "These mantras that are spoken, arise from the nature of non-entity." This word spoken is the characteristic of gathering mantras. And what is that like? Non-entity is without self-nature, it arises from the nature of clear light.
