He spoke of the symbolism of the gestures. Therefore, from those mantras that have been completely transformed, such as Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: om, Chinese literal meaning: Om) and Svaha (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Svaha) etc., are removed, and whatever form is created through combination, such as emanations etc., this itself relies on its respective deity, thereby becoming powerful in the collection of actions, which is the meaning to be expressed. This is explained from the perspective of intent. Now, the very nature of mantra is to be shown: By relying on A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), wisdom arises, becoming the essence of the Buddha. The meaning is that when collecting mantras, by distinguishing between parts and parts, three letters are collected, and in the state of the Dharmadhatu space, it is revealed, relying solely on the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), that is, focusing on it. Wisdom is the Dharmadhatu wisdom that the yogi should cultivate. That itself is the essence of the glorious Vajradhara Buddha, that is, its very nature should be declared. That is the very nature of mantra, which is spoken from the perspective of intent. Now, the function of the three letters: Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) completely generates sentient beings, and completely regards them as the body of the Buddha. Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: om, Chinese literal meaning: Om) completely gathers sentient beings, and A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) causes them to abide. Thus it is said. The mind of the Bhagavan, transformed into the nature of Vajradhara, the letter Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) with the nature of life, causes sentient beings to visualize as the body of the Buddha, that is, having that form, thereby generating and creating, that is, generating. Similarly, the body of the Bhagavan, transformed into the nature of Vajradhara, the letter Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: om, Chinese literal meaning: Om) with the nature of entering, causes sentient beings to completely gather and enter as before. The nature of speech Vajradhara, the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) with the nature of equality, causes them to abide, that is, causes the mind to abide in a state like a vase. Merely through these three of generating, filling, and the nature of a vase, the mind becomes one-pointed, which is not spoken from the perspective of intent. The order of the Vajra recitation sequence: The order of entering and abiding, and rising, also abides on the basis of wisdom and means, reciting without diminishing the limbs of the mantra. Thus it is said. The sequence of the yogi entering etc.

When the earth tilts, the yogi abides in the basis of wisdom and means, that is, the nature of non-duality of conventional truth and ultimate truth, with the three syllables of the mantra complete in their parts. Since the mantra and the deity are non-dual, one should recite the single nature. This is the meaning of the direct explanation. Or, abiding in the basis of wisdom and means, that is, the union of the wisdom mudra and the samadhi of vajra and lotus, gradually entering, etc. Reciting the mantra in the order of desire, non-desire, and desire, the luminosity is complete in its parts. One should recite and experience the non-duality of conventional truth and ultimate truth. This is the definitive meaning. Now, the number of recitations through the door of the number of winds. The explanation of reciting white clothes, etc.: Two hundred and twenty-five, when the four are well added together, the four combined become nine hundred. What is shown in the nine hundred, in the order of twenty-four, when they arise separately, is twenty-one thousand six hundred. Thus it is said. Here, the yogi in the four places such as hidden places, contemplates the mandala of fire, etc., the four natures of the four deities such as the white-clothed woman. Each of those mandalas is also the nature of the four great elements, because one great element is also the nature of the four. Therefore, each part of each mandala, with the number of two hundred and twenty-five, one mandala has nine hundred. Those, in the order of entering, etc., the four mandalas become twelve during the day and twelve during the night, and in that order become twenty-one thousand six hundred. The thought is that a day and night is sixty hours. There are four sessions during the day and four sessions during the night. Therefore, in one session of the measure of eight and a half hours, the four mandalas have two thousand seven hundred vajra recitations. The three sessions also change in the same way, totaling eighteen thousand during the day and eighteen thousand during the night. Thus, the vajra recitation becomes twenty-one thousand six hundred, just like the sound. Now, in order to make this meaning valid, it is explained:

Following the teachings of the tantras, in order to clarify this time within the scriptural measure, it is said in the Later Guhyasamāja Tantra, etc., that the internal time is the order of the mandala, the number of recitations. With the ritual of the sequential method, combine well in four sessions. With the number of the signified and the signifier, recite the limbs of the mantra without diminishing. Intelligence refers to Buddhalocana, etc., and their method is the four mandalas blessed by them. Their ritual is to recite with the distinctions of nine hundred, etc., for each mandala in the order of entering, etc. "Combine well in four sessions." This is what it says. In the day and in the night. The mantra is three syllables. The undiminished limb is, as before, inseparable from the yoga of the deity. The signified are the mandalas, etc. The signifier is the winds, etc., and one should recite by counting their number, which is according to the literal meaning. Now is the time to take up the vajra recitation. Contemplation is interrupted. External yogic recitation should be abandoned. The meaning of the mantra is the Blessed One Vajradhara. How is the vajra nature recited? This is according to the literal meaning. External recitation is, which refers to the distinctions of rosaries, and for a while, by distinguishing the number of hundreds of thousands, etc., causes suffering to body, speech, and mind. That is the perfect yogi, who makes the vajra recitation familiar, or goes beyond it, and therefore should abandon and discard it. The initial or generation stage yogi is not to be discarded, because those are to be practiced. What kind of external recitation is it? The interruption of contemplation, that is, the nature of luminosity, is an obstacle. With and without conceptualization is contradictory, like remaining and standing without diminishing. The reason is stated: in order to fully understand the meaning of the mantra's own nature, which is to be expressed, therefore recite the mantra. If it is said that when the perfect yogi becomes Vajradhara, that is, Vajradhara himself, through the order of vajra recitation, then that itself is the meaning of the mantra, so at that time, what else is there to be attained?
