I am clear and distinct, Severance is the ten characteristics of sound: Throat, lips, gums, teeth, etc., Are distinguished by these differences. Letters become the basis for clear words, That is called a letter. In the Brahma world and so on, Through the differences of tones such as six births, Brahma sings speech as a song, Tones exist in seven forms. Sound, volume, symbol, and words, etc., Exist in the nature of the names of things. Whatever scriptures on sound exist here, That sound exists in everything. At the end of the sound is beauty, Whoever obtains this beauty, And that which brings happiness, Is manifestly called "pleasant". Birds, musical instruments, and people, Arise from assembly, Whatever is without distinction and clear, All that is proclaimed as "noise". Plucking the lute, striking the bell, etc., The sound that arises from that, Whatever brings joy to the mind, Is manifestly called "sound". Just as fire blazes, The aggregation of wind and water, Sound arises from that, That is properly called "roar". Like the sound of wind, fire, and rain, The sound that dwells within, The sound heard after covering the ears, That is called "layered" and "clear". For example, being moved by the wind, The sound that arises from the lute, Such a place where sound arises, When heard by the wise, It arises correctly from the direction of the navel. When focusing closely on that, Like a bee inside a vase. That is deep and melodious, Entering very subtly, The sound can be heard clearly, And can be known by the mind itself. That is called "severance", Like treating sesame seeds with sesame oil, etc. It pervades all of this, Without doubt and unspeakable. Completely free from tones and letters, That is eternally internal and external. That is called the sacred Brahma, That which cannot be spoken by anyone, Nor can it be destroyed. Thus, it arises naturally, It dwells in the body that pervades everything. It exists in realm, samsara, And in the eater and ignorance. As long as it is not understood, It can only be known as livestock. It exists in everything, Called the sacred Brahma. Having known the reality of the mantra, One will be liberated from the prison of samsara.

The sequence of what is said, such as this, has clarified the reality of mantra, and from the reality of mantra arises the perfection of mantra. How is that? Here, the yogi contemplates the letter A (ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) transforming into blazing fire at the center of the eight-petaled wheel of the Dharmadhatu located in the navel chakra. Also, placing three letters in the head and so on, reciting them in the order of their entry, gathering them with the distinction of parts and parts, and placing them there. And they dissolve into the wheel of the Dharmadhatu, and one should know them as the nature of clear light. Abiding, this is called the perfection of mantra, which is the ultimate, and therefore this is called the neuter recitation. A yogi of such a kind is well-trained in Vajra recitation, that is the meaning. It is not the intention. Now is the order of the four stages. After Vajra recitation, the yogi, will gain focus on the mind. After realizing focus on the mind, the wisdom body will be attained. Abiding in the illusion-like samadhi, the non-dual wisdom will be attained. After abiding in the union samadhi, one will no longer learn in any field. The meaning of what is said, such as this, is that by the sequence of Vajra recitation, after purification and cleansing, the yogi focuses on the nature of the three, mind, consciousness, and awareness, and thus attains purity. The three consciousnesses, the alaya consciousness, the afflicted consciousness, and the entering consciousness, with the nature of the sixty aggregates, revolve among beings day and night like a water wheel. The three consciousnesses, which are rootless, without abode, without color, without sign, and without form, holding the sharp sword of sudden afflictive imprints, rob the wealth of the roots of virtue from the travelers who go to the desolate places of samsara, kill them, and throw them into other birth places. As it is said, as it is said in the Sutra of the Ash River: A monk dwelling in a desolate place stretches out his arms upwards. By day, I am wealth.
