The reason for this is that the action is like water and milk becoming one, which is the definitive meaning. Now, in order to show the self-essence of prostration, which enters into its own nature, through the door of example, just as water is poured into water, just as ghee is poured into ghee, with one's own wisdom of oneself, whatever is well seen, that itself is prostration here. It is said that, what is the nature of prostration that follows its own nature? For example, the streams of water flowing from two rivers merge together and mix, and there is no difference at all, because there is no distinction in the water. Similarly, if someone says that for those who are skilled in touch, the difference between two streams of water coming from cold and warm places can be distinguished, then, like the second example, ghee into ghee, when two ghees are mixed, there is no difference because they are the same in oiliness and color. Similarly, oneself, that is, the knowledge of the characteristics of aggregates, elements, and sense bases, one's own wisdom, that is, placing and seeing well in the clear light of the nature of emptiness of all things, that is prostration, because that itself is the fruit of prostration, therefore one prostrates. Similarly, when beginners take refuge in the Three Jewels, they prostrate for the sake of attaining Buddhahood. Here, prostration itself is Buddhahood, so there is no difference between cause and effect. With this intention, the Bhagavan said in the Root Tantra: The three supreme vajras are not mudras. Here, prostration is not forbidden, but it is considered that one should rely on prostration with the characteristic of entering into its own nature, which is not the intention. If that is the case, since one can comprehend the suchness by merely prostrating, then what is the use of meditation? To dispel this doubt, however, without realizing omniscience, one cannot approach that suchness. Covered by darkness, one will gain light through kindness. It is said that, the meaning is that one can attain realization by merely prostrating, but as long as the guru's

Therefore, if the nature of prostration is not known, how can one realize it? That is what he thought. Therefore, the Omniscient One is considered to be the Vajra Master, because there is no difference between the Lama and the Vajradhara. Without realization from that, that is, without understanding wisdom, one cannot focus on Suchness. As it is said in the Queen of Conquerors Sutra, one attains the enlightenment of the Buddha by relying on a virtuous friend. Similarly: Those with perverse pride do not see their own faults as faults, but rather as virtues. They despise virtuous friends, how can they drink nectar? It is said like that. For example: Just as a vase and cloth, etc., covered by thick darkness, that is, covered by darkness, are not clear, but when they encounter the light of a lamp, their differences such as name and form become clear. Similarly, although the continuum of the mind, which has been defiled by the darkness of the habitual tendencies of afflictions such as beginningless desire, has Suchness, it is not clear. If one receives the kindness of the Lama, Suchness will become clear in an instant. That is the conclusion. Therefore, one should take the oral instructions of the Lama to heart, which is the summarized meaning, that is, the literal meaning. Now, it is to show the distinction between the cause and effect of the stages of complete purification of the mind. It is said: Emptiness, very emptiness, the third great emptiness, the fourth all emptiness, are the distinction between cause and effect. In this context of complete purification of the mind, one does not focus on anything other than the mind and the conceptual thoughts that arise from the mind. As the noble Maitreya said: False conceptual thought is the mind, mental factors, and the three realms. Therefore, it will become completely pure through the distinction of incompatibility and antidote. Among them, the incompatible side is the three consciousnesses and the three natures that arise from them. The antidote side is the three emptinesses, and its synonym is called the three wisdoms. The three consciousnesses and that
