Because it is the nature of self, it is a jewel! Because it is the nature of the Tathagata, it is five colors! The effort of life, which is the nature of the ten, that is, moving up and down, is said to be life and effort. The self-mantra is Bhagavan Vajradhara. In its heart, that is, in the center of the bindu, contemplate, as before, the manifest and unmanifest colored Bhagavan. Then, immerse the mind in the discriminating bindu, that is, place it in the center of the size of a tiny mustard seed, and when focusing on it, the mind can be controlled. The so-called ultimate subtle dust of controlling the mind, and the ultimate subtle dust of heat, that is not the intended meaning. Now, explain separately, also by this explanation itself, it is shown by what is said in the explanatory tantra called "Vajra Garland". The meaning is, if when explaining separately from the "Vajra Garland" tantra, then because it is manifest, it will be easy to understand, this is the meaning of the words. The tip of the nose mustard seed refers to the observation of life and effort. The five lights residing in life and effort are contemplated as the Buddhas. It is definitely generated from the upper nostril, right and left and both, slowly moving and becoming four kinds. The inner time is said to exist. In the throat, heart, navel chakra, and secret lotus, it shows coming and going. In the time of half an hour, it stays in order. The meaning is this: First, the yogi, having entered and stayed with the equal application of skillful means and wisdom, the bindu of bodhicitta collected from the joints of all the limbs, is as small as a mustard seed on the tip of the nose, as before, observing and contemplating life and effort as desired. After that, the five rays of light residing in life and effort should be contemplated as the nature of the five Buddhas. Those are also the nature of the five winds, which has been said before. After that, in the four places such as the throat, it is composed of the nature of the four great elements, the nature of the four mandalas, or, successively adding ya, ra, la, wa.

Visualize the square, round, bow-like, and triangular shapes generated by the seed syllables with vowels, yellow, white, green, and red, and marked with vajra, makara, bell, victory banner garment, and garland of flames. From each mandala, enter three letters in sequence, and radiate the wheel of light. That is, from the upper tip of the nose, contemplate that it will definitely arise from the direction of the face. Radiate the light from the wind mandala from the left nostril. The right nostril is from the fire mandala. From both nostrils is the earth mandala. Only from both nostrils is the water mandala, but it is slow and less fluid. That alone is the inner time, which is said and spoken to be a division of inner time. How long should the wheel of light be radiated? It is said, "A half half time of the periods." What is that to be said? Here, there are sixty-four hours in day and night, and thirty-two hours in the day. There are eight periods in day and night. Eight hours is the time of a period. Period and period interval are names, and half of that period is four hours. Half of that again is two hours, and at that time, the light should be held at the tip of the nose. The order is the order of the mandalas. As it is, it means the order of the right side and so on. The thought is this: from the eight-hour period, half an hour of thirty breaths in and out is the moment of shining light. During the day, it changes from three periods to one and a half hours, so there are two hours during the day. The four periods of the night also have two hours, so four hours is the time to experience the light, called the inner time. The remaining sixty hours remain as the day and night known in the world, and that is not the meaning.

Red and clear. This is the deity of Padma Gonpo. The light that arises from the left is called the mandala of wind. It appears greenish-yellow, here is the deity of Karma Gonpo. The light that arises from both nostrils appears greatly yellow. That is the great power mandala, here is the deity of Ratna Gonpo. Slow and flowing weakly, always white like the moon. That is the water mandala, here is the deity of Vajra Gonpo. Thus it is said, the meaning here is: the light that arises from the right nostril has the power to increase power, therefore it is red, emanating from the fire mandala. It should be known that it is blessed by the immeasurable light of the nature of the fire element. Similarly, what arises from the left nostril has the power to attract, therefore it is green, emanating from the wind mandala, and it should be known that it is blessed by the real accomplishment of the nature of the wind element. From fire, the power to increase power can be seen, like the color of vases and red objects. Wind also has the power to attract, because of its nature, like carrying grass and so on. Similarly, the light that arises from both nostrils has the power to increase, therefore it is yellow, emanating from the earth mandala, and it should be known that it is blessed by the jewel source of the nature of the earth. Because the earth can increase with the nature of grains and jewels and so on. Similarly, the light that arises from both nostrils has the power to pacify, therefore it is white, emanating from the water mandala, and it should be known that it is blessed by the immovability of the nature of water. Here, this should be examined: what is the pure aspect that is emitted by the distinction of right and so on? It is said that it is made by the distinction of pulse and element. The right pulse is where the bodhicitta resides.
