Refuting the liberation of those (non-Buddhists) is just as stated before, so it will not be elaborated here. Therefore, all those opponents should be refuted in that way. All these liberations are unclean because they are mixed with the mud of various views' faults. The Bhagavan said in the Great Assembly Sutra: 'The Samkhya followers of yoga experts, whatever faction is held by ignorance, those established by Vedic knowledge, the Vedic faction's desires, and those who delight in the five times, the yogis of the Great Lord, those who take fire as a measure, those who hold stainless hair knots, those who speak of being great heroes, and others who claim liberation, all of them will go to the lower realms. What the Victorious One has said, that remains on top.' And also: 'Those who speak of the five meanings of peace and stainlessness, the doer-speakers, the pervader, the Brahmins, and those in the world who are worthy of offering to the Lokayatas, whoever are people of practice, if they practice the Vajrayana as supreme, then they are beasts. Therefore, I strive to abandon connections with them. Because connections lead to the violation of vows, the loss of accomplishments, so they are not vessels for liberation. Possessing the nature of ten and eighteen, wielding power over the extremes of accomplishment, possessing fearful power, whatever is said to be sixty-four (deities), other than the Vajrayana, all of them should be known as beasts.' Therefore, it is said that the doctrine of the Vajrayana is the only one without fault, and one should abide in it. Those who claim to have their own school are those with definite intelligence. These are the Shravakas, the Yogachara, the Bodhisattvas, and those who follow the Tantric path. Among them, the Shravakas are those who, merely by understanding the lack of self in the individual, think, 'I have done what needs to be done, I have accomplished my task,' and abide only in their own benefit, abandoning the benefit of others, and say: 'The inclinations of beings are diverse, even the Victorious Ones cannot satisfy them, what need is there to mention someone ignorant like me? Therefore, abandon worldly thoughts, and one should examine reason or unreason for oneself, and not examine the faults of others, and what has been done and not done.' Thus they speak, and they are holders of views that are strongly attached to external objects.
