Its nature is self-nature, which is the common meaning. The aspect of the Completion Stage is: Self-blessing and luminosity, Knowing them in order with wisdom, Whatever is the union of those, That is the stage of union. Thus it is said, From self-blessing, the instantaneous arising of the form of a deity is the nature of conventional truth. The name "luminosity" is also held by the second and fourth stages in that very state. Those stages, knowing and realizing the causes and effects that are in accordance and not in accordance, later, with the fifth stage, those two are united, becoming one and undifferentiated, that is called the stage of union, which is hidden. The means of the aspect of the stage of manifest enlightenment are: By holding completely and subsequent destruction, Thus entering the basis of suchness, And what is the fifth simultaneously with that, That is union. Thus it is said. The stage of manifest enlightenment, the means of yogis are two, namely the stage of mudra and the stage of samadhi. Among them, there are two types of samadhi stage, namely complete holding and subsequent destruction. Complete holding means that from head to toe, and even without being aware of them, the wheel of light makes the self-appearance disappear. After that, subsequent destruction is that in that order, first the three realms are made to disappear, and then the self-appearance is made to disappear, which is called the samadhi of complete holding and subsequent destruction. With those samadhis, one enters manifest enlightenment with the basis of suchness, that is, the nature of emptiness of all, and the yogi should also follow and enter into that nature, and after that, knowing that this is the aspect of ultimate truth and not conventional, knowing it like a dream, for the sake of benefiting sentient beings, from that, that is, from the nature of luminosity, equally and simultaneously, in an instant, with the mind free from the conceptualization of the two samadhis, arising instantaneously, whatever is the emanation of the body, that is union, which arises from the cause of the two samadhis.

It should be said that this is the ultimate remaining word. From another order: Conventional and ultimate, Knowing they are without difference, In what place they are completely merged, That is said to be union. Thus it is said, what is called conventional is the appearance of vases and so on to the consciousness with distinctions. Ultimate is that which, relying on a special path, eliminates the distinctions of grasper and grasped, as Kambala Avadhutipa also said: Without other distinctions, Distinction is called conventional, That distinction itself is, The conventional that destroys. Although they are established as distinct by the difference of samsara and nirvana, yet in the ultimate they abide without difference. The ultimate is not seen apart from the conventional, because the ultimate is the only nature of things. Moreover, it is not different from the ultimate, because the subject of the law is not seen apart from the nature of the law. In the commentary on the Mind of Enlightenment, it is also said: Just as the sweetness of sugar cane, And the heat of fire are its nature, Likewise, the emptiness of all things, Should be known as its nature. Like fabrication and impermanence, If there is no, then it will certainly not arise. And in the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra it is also said: Form is empty by its very nature. Form itself is emptiness. Emptiness is also not other than form. Form is also not other than emptiness, and so on. Thus, knowing that conventional and ultimate are without difference, in what samadhi they are completely merged, becoming one, without difference, that should be said to be union, this is the general meaning. Or, conventional and ultimate are the generation stage and the completion stage, knowing that they are without difference, in what samadhi the yogi completely merges, that should be said to be their union. Or, the four stages of the conventional vajra recitation and so on, in this it is said: Thus possessing practice, At that time is the first worker.
