. Similarly, the so-called nirvana without remainder, if there is no such conceptualization, then that is knowing the union of two. Thus it is said that the nirvana of the Hearers is of two types, namely nirvana with remainder and nirvana without remainder. Among them, the aggregates, etc., which are bound by the afflictions and the habitual tendencies of near afflictions, are the aggregates, and existing together with them is nirvana with remainder. When afflictions have been abandoned through the path of seeing and the path of meditation, but the body has not yet been exhausted due to the power of past habitual tendencies, those of the Hearer lineage will think, have I been liberated or not? When the afflictions are exhausted and the aggregates have disappeared, then they disappear like a lamp whose oil has been exhausted, and that is nirvana without remainder, it should be said. Therefore, these two conceptualizations do not exist in any samadhi, then it can be known and understood as the samadhi that is the characteristic of the union of two, this is not the intended meaning. In the same section it says: Where the person is without self, and the dharma is also without self, being separated by realization, is the characteristic of the union of two. Thus it is said that the Blessed One, by showing the aggregates, explained that in the person without self, the person is without self, and by showing only consciousness, explained that in the dharma without aggregates etc., the dharma is without self. This is again the view of the two schools of the Vaibhashikas and the Yogacharas, these two conceptualizations appear, which do not exist in any samadhi, that is the characteristic of the stage of the union of two, and it is the nature of dharma, this is a concluding word, it is the general meaning. Or, the so-called person without self, is to directly realize the suchness of emptiness through practicing the door of liberation such as emptiness. Dharma without self, is to abide in the center of the wheel of deities from the perspective that body, speech, and mind are all unobtainable through negative practice, this is the supreme suchness of the yogis of the generation stage. In the samadhi of the yogis of the completion stage, if these two realizations do not exist, then that is the state of no more learning, therefore it is the stage of the union of two.
