Pawo. Complete purification is the virtuous Dharma that becomes its antidote. Similarly, the noble truth of suffering, the noble truth of origin, the noble truth of cessation, and the noble truth of the path are called the four noble truths. As the venerable Tara says, "Two are the truths of the noble Hearers, and the other two are the noble truths." Therefore, what are the truths of the noble ones? They are suffering and origin, because they are regarded as true entities of cause and effect by the noble beings who wish to abandon samsara. Their antidotes, cessation and path, are noble because they are unconditioned and free from defilements themselves. Moreover, they are truths because they are preceded by correct knowledge and are accepted by valid cognition. That is complete purification, because it specifically purifies and diminishes all defilements, so it is complete purification, and it is the path included in the virtuous aspect. Therefore, through the stages of the path of seeing and the path of meditation, the defilements of the objects of the three realms are pacified. The yogis who have reached the other shore, through the distinction of the four moments, understand the Dharmas that are in accordance with the decisive aspect, which is the Dharmakaya. Until the time of realization, there will be conceptualizations of the unfavorable side and the favorable side. Because the luminosity of suchness is manifested, in any samadhi, there is no appearance of the completely afflicted afflictions that have become the unfavorable side and the favorable side, and the conceptualizations to be purified are this. However, any yogi who knows and realizes oneness, that is, the nature of non-duality, knows the order of union, which means it is not intentional. In the manner of the earlier presentation of the Vijnanavada school, the undifferentiated samadhi, all the conceptualizations together with things, and the non-appearing conceptualization, the yogi who practices with oneness, he is the one who knows union.

Thus it is said, and this is the view of some who assert only consciousness. For example, any phenomena that appear externally, such as pots and cloths, do not exist by their own nature, because they are self-illuminating. Whatever phenomena are self-illuminating in nature, they exist, like consciousness. Whatever is illuminated by something else does not exist, because it is under the control of something else. Being dependent on something else is precisely what is illuminated by consciousness alone. Therefore, whatever appearances there are, such as blue and yellow, are solely dependent on consciousness, just like reflections appearing in a mirror. This is the common understanding of things by those who speak of being together with consciousnesses, that is, the arising of clinging to the appearance of external aggregates. Other proponents of only consciousness think like this: Like the immaculate and infinite sky, having abandoned all pervasive afflictions and purifications, the sole non-conceptual consciousness cannot be stained by those appearances that arise from meaning or appear therein, because it is naturally pure, like the sky. The appearance of adventitious stains is merely non-appearance, because they are the Blessed Mother herself. Whatever is experienced as appearance is non-existent, like illusion, mirage, and double moon, and therefore it is the sole non-conceptual consciousness. This is how yogis understand non-conceptuality. Such two views, having been made one by understanding the luminous suchness, that is, having been made of one taste, the yogi who practices and knows, abiding in the suchness of complete accomplishment, that is union, that is, knowing the suchness of the nature of the realm of non-abiding nirvana, that is seeing or hearing, this is not the intention. The view of the Middle Way is: The mind of the grasped and the grasper, Both are not existent, Where there is no division, That is said to be union. Thus it is said.

Therefore, the Madhyamikas believe that external objects of grasping are non-existent because they are free from one and many. Therefore, since there is no object of grasping, there is also no grasper, hence it is said that there is no grasper. Thus, according to their view, mind, that is, consciousness, does not exist as the nature of the aspect of grasper and grasped. Similarly, they also say that all these things are without inherent existence, because they are free from one and many, so they are like images. If things have the nature of one and many, like the twenty-five realities completely imputed by other schools, then they are inconsistent and without measure. In this way, there is no dualistic appearance for the Madhyamikas, because this is only the aspect of ultimate truth, and to eliminate it, it is said: the samadhi of the nature of uniting two, where it is inseparable is one, conventional and ultimate exist in the reality of non-duality, and the samadhi meditated upon by yogis is called union. The Blessed One said this, and it is proven to be the word of the Blessed One's measure, not the intention. In order to refute the views of all opponents, it is said: who abandons the thoughts of permanence and annihilation and abides, who should know the order of union, who knows it is wise. Similarly, all other opponents who are bound by the view of self, in whatever aspect, are the cause of the poisonous tree of samsara, another saying is permanence itself, which is abiding on the path of the extreme of permanence. They are not liberated from the bondage of samsara, because they do not fully know the path of liberation. Some Vaibhashikas, etc., think that when their own skandhas, etc., cease, it is like the extinguishing of a lamp when the oil is exhausted, which is like the nirvana of a lamp, but they do not have the happiness and joy of benefiting sentient beings, so they go beyond the two measures and seek the liberation of the characteristic of annihilation. They will not be liberated either, because the nature of liberation is completely impure. Light.
