Therefore, the skandhas, dhatus, and ayatanas are abandoned, and one is separated from them. If the Yogacara practitioners say: "Alright, even if that's the case, all moving and non-moving things are merely the appearance of consciousness, and everything has its nature," that is also not reasonable. What is "consciousness"? Please explain. "Because it cognizes, it is consciousness." Then, what does it cognize? If it is said that it cognizes only its own aspect, then, because it is separate from one and many, it does not exist, and the grasping also does not exist. Furthermore, if a past, future, or present thing generates consciousness, then, firstly, the past thing is not possible, because it has already perished. The future thing is also not possible, because it has not been obtained, so it does not appear. The present thing also cannot generate consciousness, because it is itself momentary and has already possessed both qualities. Even if it is able to generate, does it generate simultaneously or gradually? If it generates gradually, then, because the thing is momentary, when it perishes, how can consciousness arise relying on it? If it is simultaneously, then, what is related to what? Why doesn't consciousness also generate the thing? Therefore, the grasper and the grasped should be abandoned. If that is the case, what is the nature of Bodhicitta? It is said that the selflessness of all dharmas, such as the skandhas, is that which is not self. That which is equal to it is that which pervades all. The nature of the three consciousnesses, namely mind, mental factors, and the nature of ignorance, is that one's own mind, which has not arisen from the beginning, is without nature. It has abandoned arising, ceasing, and abiding, and is free from the views of permanence and annihilation. Therefore, emptiness is that everything is empty, and that is the fourth suchness. With its nature, I should meditate on Bodhicitta, which is superfluous words. After the student recites the Bodhicitta mantra, he should offer the mandala with folded hands at the feet of the teacher, which is the ultimate offering. After that, thinking of offering the place, then the appropriate offerings.
