The examination of Mahamudra is: Five lights are arising, like a rainbow in the sky. Thus it is said. The emanation body that arises from the clear light by the yogi is the Mahamudra. Because it possesses the most excellent hands, faces, body colors, and shapes of all forms, it is a mudra. Also, because it arises from the clear light, it is great. Therefore, it is the Mahamudra. Examination is to be understood. If asked what it is like, it is that through the differentiation of faith, relying on the five Buddha families for the purpose of subduing sentient beings or for the purpose of peace, etc., it is the nature of the five Tathagatas. Therefore, it is said that five lights arise, which means that the cause of the five-colored rays of light arising sequentially or simultaneously. The difference from the yoga of the generation stage is: Just as the sky, the rainbow of the sky radiates a collection of five-colored rays of light, and the appearance appears, so it is neither existent nor non-existent, and should be understood as an illusion, which is the hidden meaning. After generating the deity, binding the mudras, etc., can only be done by abiding in reality. Thinking this in mind. Binding mudras, or reciting secret mantras, or doing everything else, one should abide on the basis of emptiness. Thus it is said. Binding mudras, that is, external hand mudras, etc., or internal hooking, etc., or karma mudras, etc., and the actions or activities of the commentary of entering into samadhi, that is, clear through the recitation of secret mantra speech, or reciting and uttering sounds unclearly through vajra recitation, similarly, other mandalas and samadhis and mudra mantras and actions and methods of abiding and recitations and fire offerings, etc., whatever is done, all should abide on the basis of emptiness, that is, abide in the realm of clear light to do. If done that way, then those will become fruitful, and will become accumulations of merit and wisdom. Otherwise, it is only an accumulation of merit, similar to the yogi of the generation stage.

"Because of transformation" means ultimate. For all things, abiding in the Suchness, is "eating all, drinking all, prostrating everywhere, going everywhere, doing all, all signs, are accomplished by emptiness." Thus it is said, the yogi of the Completion Stage, that is, relying on the fourth Suchness of all emptiness, is accomplished, or will be accomplished. How is that? "Eating all" means that at all times, in all places, in all directions, eating all contradictory or non-contradictory things is not a fault. Likewise, drinking all is also not a fault. Prostrating to all beings, that is, children and ordinary people, or noble ones, is also not a fault. Likewise, if one goes to all contradictory and non-contradictory objects, etc., there is no fault. Knowing the Suchness, the attachment, etc., held by special attention, is the cause of obtaining the unsurpassed fruit. This is its meaning. As the Great Yoga Tantra "Glorious Supreme First Tantra" says: "Desire, hatred, and ignorance, these three are great poisons. If stabilized by poison, then it approaches poison. If stabilized by nectar, then it transforms into nectar." Also, as the "Ratnakuta Sutra" says: "Good son, just as the fields of buram trees, rice fields, and vegetable gardens, etc., are benefited by heaps of manure. Likewise, the Bodhisattva is also benefited by afflictions. Good son, just as poison held by mantras and medicines does not kill. Likewise, the Bodhisattva who possesses skillful means and wisdom is not fallen by afflictions." Therefore, the "Accomplishing Meaning Tantra" says: "What makes one foolish, that makes the wise liberated. Thus, cultivating Bodhi, all these are prevented." Also, as other sutras and tantras say: "By whatever fierce actions, beings are bound. If one possesses skillful means, then that is liberation."

. Liberated from the bonds of existence. Thus and so on, it is said to be ultimate. Now, for the sake of the disciple who has received the oral instructions not to regress, for this purpose, the mantra of the mind of enlightenment spoken by the Bhagavan, in order to eliminate what the guru has given, one should make offerings to it, thinking thus in one's heart. A fortunate disciple receives the oral instructions from a good teacher. Holding flowers with folded hands. The true meaning of the Bodhicitta mantra, Should be received again from the guru. Thus it is said. Receiving the oral instructions means receiving the order of manifest enlightenment. Being fortunate means realizing the suchness, holding it as the nature body of the five Tathagatas, as it is also said in the Tantra of the Glorious Union of All Buddhas Equally: All kinds of good fortune, Self-accomplishment is good fortune. In the Dharma, possessing no self, Breaking vows is bad fortune. For the sake of diligently accomplishing samsara, The Buddha Bhagavan is good fortune. Those who are utterly extinguished in nirvana, The worldly Shravakas are bad fortune. For the sake of accomplishing all thoughts, Vajrapani is good fortune. Those who unite utterly with emptiness, The Pratyekabuddhas are bad fortune. For the sake of purifying all desire, Avalokiteshvara is good fortune. Those who possess wrong views, The worldly Tirthikas are bad fortune. For the sake of gathering the supreme ultimate truth, Vajra Sun is good fortune. Those who have no attachment even to their own body, All ascetics are bad fortune. For the sake of gathering the supreme kingdom, The glorious Horse King is good fortune. Those who have no self and no grasping, All who strive in discipline are bad fortune. For the sake of accomplishing the nature of all bliss, All teachers are good fortune. Those who have bad omens and hate vows, All disciples are bad fortune. This very secret, Will make the meaning of consciousness clear. Thus and so on it is said. Therefore, a person like a jewel is a good disciple, a special son. Joining palms means joining the palms of the hands on the crown of the head. Holding flowers in the hands, that is, holding garlands of flowers, is for the purpose of offering to the deity in front of the guru.
