Add the phrase "I have clearly explained." Mind is appearance. What arises from the mind is the proliferation of appearance. Its great yoga is the attainment of appearance. The samadhi of great bliss is the illusory body. Why is that? Because it is approximated by the metaphor of illusion, hence it is the illusory body. The Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River indicate the number of this very illusory body. These such as "like an illusion" are a detailed explanation of this very definitive term. The rest is easy to understand. Conventional truth is that which possesses causes and conditions. Being true by its power, it is the truth of conventional truth. Cutting doubts refers to the essence and definition, the divisions and causes, the names and the time of meditation, the similes and functions, the characteristics and distinctions, the power and the ultimate extent, and what it is directed towards, the sutras and tantras, this text and the extensive explanation of this text, the tantras and other conceptualizations, doubting with reason, it is said to cut these off, hence it is said thus. The explanation of the sixth chapter from the commentary on the Lamp for Compendium of Practice is completed. Chapter Seven: Cutting Doubts on the Compendium of Ultimate Truth. Then, luminosity is about the ultimate truth, what is doubted and questioned? There is no hesitation about conventional truth, which has already been discussed above. Now refers to the word at hand. Completely pure means being free from grasping and being grasped. Being true in the ultimate sense, it is the ultimate truth, that is, the non-erroneous truth. Knowing through the kindness of the lama means that without relying on the lama, nothing can be known. As an answer to that, conventional truth has been discussed above. What is ultimate truth then? Without a body means being separated from the body, and the body itself is also completely pure. Without example means being separated from example. For something that has a measure, there is also an example, but for this that has no measure, there is also no example. Being free from all composition means transcending the activity of composition. Knowing by oneself means that it is not to be known by others. Then from where is it known? It is known from the mouth of the lama. If one thinks that it cannot be known from elsewhere, then it is shown from the mouth of the lama.

Without that, it cannot be known, easy to understand. Moreover, it is known through examples, such as saying "butter lamp," etc., easy to understand. This reasoning means this cause. Whoever is without a cause can never determine a thing. Therefore, whatever determines something, that is its cause. "Arising from the aspect of sound" means that whoever wants to realize the ultimate meaning must certainly know it through sound. Why is that? Because sound is the nature of expressing meaning. If so, does it become what sound expresses? No, it is not. Because meaning is known only through convention, there is no expression of meaning here at all. Therefore, sound and meaning have no connection whatsoever in their own nature. However, since this serves as a means of showing meaning, beginners should practice it. Therefore, sound also depends on the mouth of the guru, so one should first please the guru. What does sound show? "Without beginning and end" means being free from beginning and end, meaning the beginning is not established, the end is not established. "Without object" means that object is the grasped and the grasper, and being free from that is being without object. Therefore, whatever is without object and characteristic is free from object, which is the nature of emptiness. Through what door and with what does it show? It shows through the door of sound, which is the true aspect of conventional truth, meaning it relies on the sound produced by causes and conditions, and shows through that door, and that itself is like an illusion. What is the aspect of the ultimate truth like? "Equal to space" means like space. "Unfabricated" means being free from causes and conditions and without a maker. "Immaculate" means being free from the stain of conceptualization. How is this known? It is said through "The Sutra Showing One Taste," etc., the meaning of which has already been explained above. Furthermore, it should be shown what power it is related to. "Without cause and effect" means being free from cause and effect. How should the student who understands that act? By obtaining the teachings taught by the guru.
