Quick, neither, and slow, are the characteristics of manifestation, entering, and abiding. Ten, it refers to the senses and objects. Something, it refers to the subtle realm. Not bound, it means not to be with subsequent attachment. Thus it is said: From the indestructible center of the navel arise the three letters, and from them, the Ali and Kali. From these, exhaling and inhaling, the sun and moon, skillful means and wisdom, these must be combined, possessing the characteristics of entering, abiding, and manifesting, thereby realizing abiding in great bliss. When the clarity of the three emptinesses diminishes, then luminosity is manifested, and if there are no senses and consciousness, they will not be mutually bound by conceptual thoughts. The three letters continuously exist day and night, that is its ultimate meaning. That is the place of the accumulation of qualities, the final word. Bound by A, it refers to the Prajnaparamita up to Yoga. That, refers to the yogi of perfect wisdom. Knowing is experiencing. Supreme, it refers to the spontaneously accomplished ultimate stream of wisdom, thus experiencing it, which clarifies the union, therefore it is ultimate. It is a verse on the meaning of knowing. This excellently shows the distinction of the six limits, because the root is explained with intention. The meaning of the letters is explained without intention. The general meaning is definitive and provisional meaning. The words of hidden meaning are not literal. The ultimate meaning is literal. In order to examine it, following the six limits, in the order of the four explanations, the first verse is explained with eight meanings, and then the same meaning is clearly shown again, such as "vowels, consonants, letters," etc. Vowels and consonants, and letters, are vowels, consonants, and letters. Vowels are sixteen, such as A. Consonants are twenty-five, such as Ka. Letters are eight, such as Ya. In "nine numbers," vowels are divided into two categories by the distinction between short and long. Consonants are in groups of five.

These are the five categories. Letters have two categories, thus there are nine. Whatever is in a subsequent state follows after the nine. "Bound by A" means abiding in the wheel of non-regression. "Whoever" refers to the yogi who diligently experiences the taste of equality by equally combining skillful means and wisdom. "Laughter" means to meditate within the interwoven rays of the sun and moon residing in the center of the heart lotus. The realm of speech along with close practice is actually not meaningless, so "emptiness" refers to the meaning of meditation. Through combination, meditation will become clear. There is no fault in repeating any sound twice in meaning. Then, whatever one is familiar with, combine that with "Lord of Beings." Some explain this as a mutual combination of speech. But this explanation is seen as a faulty combination, and we are not satisfied, so it should be abandoned. "By whom" refers to the yogi. "Know" refers to what anyone who is slightly self-satisfied experiences, which is the meaning of the very matrix of letters previously mentioned in the center of the heart lotus. "Lord of Beings" means that he becomes the lord of the three realms, which is the remainder of the sentence. In "the edge of arising" etc., the word "arising" refers to the category of Ya and so on. The four arisings are the nature of seeds, this is the first. The word "edge" refers to the category of Sha and so on, therefore "truly combined" means mixed, this is the second. "Cha etc." refers to the sixteen beginning with A, abiding therein, this is the third. "Fifth" etc. refers to the categories of five each beginning with Ka. "Truly combined" means joined, this is the fourth. "Four" refers to the four letters, Ya, Sha, A, and Ka. "Three" means that it must be combined with three letters, that is, completely transformed. How is it transformed? Through the nature of female, male, and hermaphrodite. For female, male, and hermaphrodite, there is also the following verse section.
