Thus it was said. From the body arising from wind and space, it is fully produced and transformed into the sound of speech. Having become distinct in other places, it becomes the letters, that is the sound. Or, it exists in the human body with the distinctions of female, male, and neuter, all of which arise entirely from the mind of enlightenment. One should thoroughly examine the elements, etc. This means that it should be known. The term "element" here clearly applies to earth, water, fire, and wind, etc. The term "etc." refers to the aggregates and sense bases. In the phrase "from below to above," the words "below" and "above" indicate that the three letters should be spoken. When the wind enters the place of the inner channels of the body, at that time, it is the seed syllable ཨོཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) of the body vajra. Furthermore, from possessing indestructibility, it is the seed syllable ཧཱུྃ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) of the mind vajra. The nature that relies on that is the seed syllable ཨཱཿ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) of the speech vajra, which is the one with the nature of abiding. Thus, with the distinctions of female, male, and neuter, rising correctly from below to above, and being distinguished by the combination of entering, abiding, and rising, therefore the three letters are the meaning of condensation. Thus, by means of the vehicle of wind, meditating with perfect possession for half of the day and night, knowing means understanding. Also understanding with the clear and pure wisdom, I say it should be combined, which means it will definitely possess. It is the meaning of the three letters that are the cause of vajra recitation. Saying "of speech," etc., here one should speak the mantra that is the nature of the three letters previously mentioned, which is the meaning of causing all the mantras of the nature of speech to enter. That is also from the non-thingness and the one nature of indestructibility. From now on, it is completely transformed, etc. What arises from the complete transformation of those three letters is, what kind of form? Like Vajradhara with three faces and six arms, this is the remainder of the sentence. Completely transformed is like milk. As it is said, in other places, the previous dharma decays, and when does it newly take up?

It says, "That which has Dharma nature does not perish; it is said to be completely transformed." Regarding "whoever is a deity," the essence of the deity, proximity is indicated by "attainment," and it should be combined in this way. Regarding "A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, literal Chinese meaning: A)" and so on, "A" is what indicates; the wisdom indicated by it is the wisdom indicated by "A." This also refers to the Buddha Bhagavan as the essence of essences, which is a concluding word. Because it is said in the scripture, "A is the most supreme of all letters." Now, the arising, abiding, and gathering functions of these three letters will be explained. Regarding "Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ)" and so on, the letter "Hūṃ" is the seed syllable in the heart, the essence of Bodhicitta, which is complete consciousness, because consciousness itself is suitable for connection. As it is said in the scripture: "The continuum of the intermediate state, like a lamp, enters the womb." This explains that the cause of generating sentient beings, the seed syllable of the mind, is "Hūṃ," which means generating sentient beings. If asked, how is it generated? Regarding "transforming into the body of the Buddha" and so on, with the reasoning that "all sentient beings possess the Tathāgatagarbha," all sentient beings should be regarded as the essence of the Buddha. As it is said in the scripture, "Here, if not for the unpredestined, all will become Buddhas." Regarding "Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Oṃ)" and so on, "Oṃ" is the seed syllable of vast permanence, which is what gathers all sentient beings. After transforming into the body of vast permanence, following the wisdom of emptiness, it completely enters and perfects it, until the end of this passage. Regarding "A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, literal Chinese meaning: A)" and so on, "A" is the seed syllable of Amitābha (Immeasurable Light), which is what causes all sentient beings to abide, because it is the essence of speech. If language is not expressed in three ways, then it should be understood as abiding like a body and a building. It explains that with the essence of abiding, through the sequence of walking, entering, etc., it shows the meaning of having diligence in recitation and meditation. The characteristics of entering, etc., will be explained below. The so-called "sequence" is the sequence of having three essences. The so-called "reciting without diminishing the limbs of the mantra," here, "mantra" refers to
