It is said that wisdom is not obscured by two kinds of conceptualization. As it is said: "Whenever there is conceptualization, all that is false; that alone is true and ultimately correct, whenever one does not conceptualize that." That is what is said. Non-abiding is because neither side is perceived. Those differences of the seven phrases, such as being called Buddha, etc., show that the very sound, such as unborn, etc., is what shows the samadhi of union. There is no other manifestation desired there, this path is how the Bhagavan's great seal accomplishment is obtained. How is it a son? It is said, such as existence, etc. The side of existence is grasping at things. The side of non-existence is slander, because those are completely abandoned. Whichever yogi, if diligent, in order to attain the state of union, practices the three practices, then he will undoubtedly attain non-dual wisdom. How is it self-nature, etc., shows the diligence of the practice of a yogi without doubt, all of which are easy to understand. Thus, day and night, diligently striving for wisdom, holding the asceticism hidden by the mind, all perfections, that is accomplished by the characteristic of attaining the state of Vajradhara, which is very auspicious. After speaking, etc., clearly shows the meaning of completely dedicating the root of virtue. In the clear meaning of the difficult commentary on the fifth stage, union is the explanation of the fifth stage.

To those of inferior intelligence, I have made only some distinctions. In the world, the sun's light is vast, illuminating all beings. What can the faint light of a firefly do? Even so, other wise people, through this commentary on the difficult points of the prayer, have determined the meaning of the five stages and distinguished them, requesting the forgiveness of the noble ones. The scriptures of the all-knowing ones cannot be explained by those of inferior intelligence. The wise have not seen the distinctions of this treatise, and I have seen only a part. Therefore, may any explanation made with a mind free from stinginess and pride please those whose eyes of wisdom are wide open, so that they may diligently benefit inferior beings. Thus, through the complete transmission of the oral instructions from one to another, explaining the five stages, may the merit I have obtained, like the stainless moon of autumn, cause beings who have fallen into the cycle of existence to quickly reach the peak of perfect enlightenment through the five stages, becoming bright, pleasing, beautiful, and happy. As long as the rays of the moon and the collection of stars adorn the sky, as long as the collection of darkness is quickly destroyed and the orb of the sun shines, as long as this wonderful place, Mount Meru, remains, may the teachings of the Sugata and this supreme commentary on the difficult points endure for a long time. The treatise called "Illuminating the Meaning of the Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Five Stages," composed by the great scholar Tsöndrü Zangpo, is completed. Translated, edited, and finalized by the Indian Abbot Paṇḍita Vīryabhadra and the great translator of Zhuchen, Geshe Chenpo Sherab Tsöndru.
