The eight-petaled lotus, contemplate the Hūṃ syllable on the navel. (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽). Thus it is said. The lotus in the secret place is the root of the tongue. The so-called "born from Hrīḥ" (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: 赫利) is born from the red Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: 赫利). The eight-petaled lotus is the complete purification of speech, because it is the mark of the Lord of Speech. On the navel is the lotus. Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) is for generating the tongue faculty together with consciousness. Then what to do? It is said: From the Hūṃ syllable comes the great vajra, contemplate the five peaks. The syllable Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 嗡) that purifies in the secret place. Place it at the tip of the root of the central channel. Thus it is said. Born from the Hūṃ syllable, it is blue, born from the sound of clouds. The great vajra is the nature of the complete purification of the tongue faculty. The five tongues are for tasting the five nectars. The tip of the root of the central channel is the tip of the vajra tongue. The syllable Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 嗡) is to be placed in the nature of entering. Purifying the secret place is approaching and gathering. When explaining the purification of the heart: In the heart, contemplate the sound of clouds, from which flames arise. Thus it is said, the sound of clouds is the syllable Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽), because the color and sound are similar to clouds. The so-called heart is in the heart of the wisdom being, in the center of the triangle. The so-called flames are the three flames, which are the nature of body, speech, and mind. Arising from that is to contemplate rising upwards. When explaining the ritual of satisfaction, in which eating is burned, this is the inner fire offering. Thus it is said, in which it is from the mouths of the samaya and wisdom beings, to the flames burning with the sound of clouds. Burning is filling, pouring, and offering. Therefore, the inner fire offering does not depend on external sesame and butter, etc. That is from the gate of the ritual of eating and drinking, explaining in detail the inner fire offering itself, the wind makes the fire burn, the water makes it fully ripen. The mandala of the great sovereign resides, wherever burning and pouring exist truthfully. Eating and drinking, whatever it may be, all are held by it. Thus it is said, in this body there are four mandalas, the earth mandala is the nature of holding, a square in the secret place. The water mandala is the nature of satisfaction.

The heart is round. The mandala of fire, the nature of cooking, is triangular, in the secret place. The mandala of wind, the nature of blowing, is bow-shaped, in the navel. Thereupon, at the time of eating and drinking, the food and drink, etc., are made into five amṛtas according to the previously arranged order. Entering the lotus of the mouth, the mandala of the nature of the earth element residing in the secret lotus holds it. The mandala of wind residing in the lotus of the navel gathers the mandala residing in the secret place. The mandala of water residing in the heart, with the nature of the cause of acting together, cooks it. By the order of pervading all the veins, it should be filled and satisfied. That itself will be explained: The food eaten by the lotus of the mouth truly enters the lotus of the heart. Residing in the lotus of the navel, by the action of combining and connecting. What arises from the secret lotus is ultimately shown to be ashes. Thus it is said. Thereupon, the lotus of the mouth, which is the nature of the fire mandala of the secret place, should eat food, etc. At that time, one should have the pride of Amitābha. The lotus of the heart, which enters the water mandala, at that time, one should have the pride of Akṣobhya. The lotus of the navel is the wind mandala, and when residing in it, at that time, one should have the pride of Amoghasiddhi. If asked: How can food, etc., residing in different places be cooked? The answer is: By the action of combining. This means that wind and fire reside in different directions, as if residing beside the nature itself. Likewise, one should also know about Maheśvara and water, etc. The action of combining is the meaning of kindling and ripening by fire and wind. One should know that the action of earth and water, etc., is to hold and ripen together. Secret, that is, arising from the path of the lotus or speech, taking it out and showing it to be ashes, that is, the explanation of the nature of ashes after the action of fire, and the excretion of urine. At that time, one should have the pride of Vairocana. In order to show the benefits of the inner fire offering, it is not old age, not disease, not death, not poison, etc. Therefore, it is not untimely death, all harms are destroyed. Thus it is said. Old age is old age itself.
