It is the meaning of saying. The nature of the sound's discriminating consciousness is that, because it is known that sound originally has no birth, it has such a nature. Having thus shown the purity of the ear faculty, in order to show the purity of the nose faculty, it is said, "Discriminating the differences of smells," etc. Discriminating the four kinds of smells is the nature of discrimination. No matter what detailed classification is, it is practiced with the nature of complete emptiness. It is called Akashagarbha because it holds the discrimination of smells with emptiness. Knowing is what should be known. The nature of the nose's discriminating consciousness is that the nose that receives smells knows that it originally has no birth, so it is the nature of its wisdom. Having thus shown the purity of the nose faculty, in order to speak of the purity of the tongue faculty here, it is said, "Discriminating the differences of tastes," etc. Discriminating the differences of the six kinds of tastes, its detailed classification is the form of detailed classification. This is practiced with the form of complete emptiness. It is called Lokanatha because, from the realization of emptiness in the detailed classification of tastes existing in the world, one obtains self-bliss, so it is Lokanatha. Knowing is what should be known. The nature of the tongue's discriminating consciousness is that, because the tongue and its object are known to be empty, it is the nature of its discriminating consciousness. Having thus shown the purity of the tongue faculty, in order to speak of the purity of the body faculty, it is said, "Acting on the differences of what is to be touched," etc., which is the detailed classification of the nature of eleven forms. By practicing with its form of complete emptiness, it is the practitioner. It is called eliminating all obscurations because all the obscurations produced by the power of touch, that is, the afflictions of desire, can be completely eliminated, because it is recited at that time, so it can completely eliminate all obscurations. The nature of the discriminating consciousness of what is to be touched is the discriminating consciousness that originally exists for touch, and wherever its nature exists, it is called that. Having thus shown the purity of the body faculty, having shown the purity of the body faculty.
