Mainly teaching, mainly teaching the four empowerments, and the four explanatory tantras with wisdom as the main focus, all taught in the pure sacred place. Since there is no need to classify the places of the four tantras here, it is not taught. After that, in order to subdue the four maras in Jambudvipa, the glorious Hevajra Tantra was taught, including the great and small tantras and the explanatory tantra. Since there is no need to explain the classification of its places, etc., it is not taught here. Therefore, among the five tantras here, the Bhagavan, the Great Compassionate One, taught the Vajramala Tantra in a small tantra form on the western mountain of Oddiyana, possessing sixty-eight chapters, and taught eighty-two questions and answers. These two sequences to be spoken are the main meaning. Among them, first, the compiler of the Vajramala Tantra, Vajrapani or Manjushri, kept the entire meaning of the tantra in mind, and then spoke the first words, such as "Thus I have heard," which have an introduction and various names. There are three meanings here: the necessity of the introductory words, the summarized meaning of the introduction, and its branch meanings. Among them, the first is to give relief to the listeners, to fully comply with the teachings of the Bhagavan, and to show oneself as an excellent listener by obtaining credible teachings. The so-called summary meaning refers to having five perfections. Among them, "Thus I have heard," etc., indicates that the act of teaching is perfect. "I heard," etc., briefly indicates the perfection of the retinue. "At one time," etc., indicates the perfection of time. "Bhagavan," etc., indicates the perfection of the teacher. "The essence of all the body, speech, and mind of the Tathagatas, residing in the lotus of the Vajra Mother," etc., speaks of the perfection of the place. Among them, there are two kinds of branch meanings: the first is the four explanations, and the second is the explanation by inner and outer nature.

The classification of. Regarding the explanation of the meaning of letters, it should be explained in five perfect ways, namely, using the classifications of suchness, the moon, seeds, and the body, to explain that the Tathagata, the perfectly complete Buddha, abides in the palace as it is said. This should be understood and comprehended by following the explanation of the six edges. After that, endless statements such as "of these" or "with these" are completely abandoned, and based on the two letters "Thus it is said" mentioned in the Sutra Requested by Indra, i.e., Evam. "The basis and parents of all are these two letters, thus it is declared. The letter Ai is the mother, and Vam is known as the father." Expressing it with such explanations. After that, it is said, "I have heard." "What is manifested by the nature of the seed, the supreme wheel of the gods, and when is the time of supreme joy? It is said to be in one time." The Bhagavan of the eight freedoms abides in the state of great bliss. The five aggregates of this are the victors, and all the Tathagatas are. The nature of body, speech, and mind is great bliss in this Vajra heart. The consort is the well-trained Mahamudra, the well-trained lotus bhaga. Abiding in the place of the Vajra holder, abiding in the form of a bindu." Like this, the meaning is shown with the explanation of the general meaning. The hidden meaning is following after the fifty-ninth chapter, "Ai is the supreme wisdom," etc., these detailed arrangements will be explained later. The ultimate meaning is following after the tantra of the prophecy of intention, "I have heard the tantra thus, some clear time is," etc., to explain it.

Those additions and slanders, etc., are not the meaning of that. The "I" that I speak of refers to the retinue with oneself as the main figure, such as the Tathagata, the women who practice together, the women who practice later, the Bodhisattvas, and the forms of wrathful deities, etc. Just as it will be explained below, therefore it refers to the retinue with oneself as the main figure. The meaning of "heard" is not realization. This is to explain the Dharma of one's own direct realization of Bodhi, collected by the listener from the teacher. Therefore, the word "heard" here indicates the collector. For cases of non-direct hearing or hearing from others, the collector himself becomes the reliable source. Therefore, saying "I personally heard" is to indicate that it was not heard from my teachers and their teachers. Why? Therefore, it is said "at one time," one time means that at a certain time this was heard, and at other times other things were heard, which indicates that the collector has heard a lot. Or, "at one time" means at one time, because it was not taught like this at other times. Therefore, it explains that the lineage is difficult to obtain. Or, at one time this was heard, that is, at the time when the language of the Tantra was taught from the lotus mouth of the Bhagavan, at that very moment, I without any omission received it. This shows that the collector has complete confidence. From whom was it heard? Therefore, "Bhagavan" was spoken. When the Bhagavan was residing in a special place, that was the wording of "heard from..." Because he has subdued the four maras or possesses the six qualities such as freedom, therefore he is the Bhagavan. He subdued the Mara of the Lord of Death by practicing emptiness. By fully understanding his own body as the image of the mandala wheel of the thirty-two deities, he subdued the Mara of the aggregates. By fully understanding the five afflictions in the form of the five Tathagatas, he subdued the Mara of afflictions. At the time of expelling obstacles, the guardians of the ten directions of the world, such as Ishvara
