It does not go beyond the incarnate body, and the six-branched union, the method for accomplishing the suchness and dharma of the incarnate body, is briefly explained in the Guhyasamaja. To clearly show this, the subsequent tantra requested by Maitreya was spoken. The Tathagatas do not go beyond the four modes of speaking, and to clarify this, the secret tantra Vajramala was spoken. The Tathagatas do not go beyond teaching the Dharma to sentient beings through the power of great compassion, and to clarify this, the tantra requested by the glorious Vajrapani, the Compendium of All Wisdom Vajras, was spoken. The Tathagatas do not go beyond wondrous conduct, and to clarify this, the Supreme Conduct Tantra was spoken. The Tathagatas do not go beyond the two types of attainments, acquisition and effort, and to clarify this, the tantra called "Manifesting Attainments" was spoken. The Tathagatas do not go beyond empowerment and samaya, and to clarify this, the tantra Distinguishing the Suchness of Samaya was spoken. The Tathagatas do not go beyond the generation stage and the completion stage of deity yoga, and to clarify this, the Vajra Sharp Tantra was spoken. Therefore, the body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, the Guhyasamaja, is greatly expanded by the yoga tantras, extremely profound, extremely wondrous, extremely difficult to understand, and even difficult for all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to find, and therefore has become the object of practice for the most supreme and sacred ones. Therefore, those who follow faith and those who follow the Dharma should rely on the yoga tantras, the commentary of Bodhisattva Maitreya, and the oral instructions of Bodhisattva Padma to realize it. Having shown the commitment to explain in this way, now the meaning of suchness will be briefly explained. Therefore, having mentioned "Secret mantra body is fully accomplished," etc., accomplishing the body is the generation stage, and accomplishing the mantra is the stage

Because it is the first, it is called "that." The term "sequence" should be applied to both. This also includes the generation stage. Hasn't it already been said "first sequence"? Why is it called "first" for both? Because this is only in terms of the completion stage, and not common with the generation stage. What does "first sequence" refer to? This refers to Vajra recitation itself. In order to explain the second stage, merely focusing on the mind is called the second stage. Because it focuses on the mind, it is focusing on the mind. Because the mind is taken as an object, it is focusing on the mind. "Second stage" refers to the second stage in relation to Vajra recitation. The word "merely" is an expression of negation, merely focusing on the mind is the second stage, but others are not. Then, in order to show the third stage, what is shown is the conventional truth, which is mind and the third stage. It means that what arises from causes and conditions and appears as false is the conventional truth. In terms of the conventional truth, because it is true, it is truth. Relative to the second stage, this is the third stage. This includes the illusory body that arises suddenly. Then, in order to show the fourth stage, clinging to the conventional truth is called the fourth stage. It means that with the power of holding it completely and then dissolving it, the illusory body is naturally pure, this is luminosity, it is the fourth stage. At the time of the fourth stage, the two truths exist in two ways, thus abiding in equanimity is the ultimate truth. The form obtained after that is the conventional truth. Then, in order to show the fifth stage, whichever is the union of the two truths, is called union, it is the fifth. It is said that realizing the ultimate truth and the conventional truth without distinction is union, it is the fifth stage. Then, in order to show the greatness of the method of practice, this is the most excellent of the methods of practice. It means that the generation stage and the completion stage are the most excellent of all methods of practice. Why? Because the two attainments

It is because it becomes the cause. The meaning of all tantras is summarized. It is said that the tantra of all Tathagatas does not go beyond the two, path and fruit. This generation stage and completion stage also possess the two, path and fruit, therefore it is a summary of the meaning of the tantra. Or, the tantra is the collection of the secrets of all Tathagatas. Its branches are the questions asked by the four goddesses and so on. Its meaning in brief is the path and the fruit. There are two paths, the path of maturation and the path of liberation. There are four paths of maturation: the vase empowerment, the secret empowerment, the wisdom-awareness empowerment, and the fourth empowerment. There are four paths of liberation: the samadhi of suchness and the practice of companions. There are two samadhis of suchness: the generation stage and the completion stage. There are five completion stages: vajra recitation and so on. There are three practices: with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration. There are two fruits: the temporary fruit and the ultimate fruit. The only common accomplishment is the temporary fruit. The supreme accomplishment is the ultimate fruit. These are the meanings of the tantra of all Tathagatas in brief. Mantra and mind and body, etc., have already been explained. In brief, is this "in brief" the meaning that will appear below, or is it different from that? If it is according to the first statement, then it is not, because it is meaningless. If it is according to the latter statement, it is also not, because it will appear as "the meaning of this tantra in brief." All beings have two types of faculties: the sharp-witted, who understand by mentioning the beginning, and the dull-witted, who are devoted to all meanings. For the time being, it is not for the dull-witted who are devoted to all meanings, because it would become the fault of the above. This is done for the sharp-witted who understand by mentioning the beginning. Why is that? Because the sharp-witted can understand by just that much and can enter into the vast meaning.
