Ignorance and forgetfulness, confusion and non-speaking, weariness and laziness, and doubt, etc., whatever arises from these, therefore it is called that. What is intermediate attachment? It is neither without attachment, nor is it great attachment, it is inferior attachment. What is forgetfulness? It is that the mind is always distracted, not pursuing meaning, and always what causes memory to decline, it arises from unfamiliarity and extreme weariness. What is confusion? It is that the mind grasps something as something else, etc., it is grasping in a way that does not match something, it arises from being accompanied by doubt, etc. What is non-speaking? It is abandoning the act of speech, it is completely abandoning all words. What is weariness? It is with complete attachment to something, etc., weariness itself is separated from the Dharma by weariness. What is laziness? It is that meaningless actions precede meaningful actions, and one does not do things like abiding somewhere, etc., it is being separated from the Dharma of not having armor, lacking diligence, not settling, not entering, and turning away, etc. What is doubt? It is having two minds about the path and the fruit, etc., it is not established, not abandoned, not obtained, and quickly relying on the unsurpassed person and thinking "is" or "is not", etc., it is the mind becoming dual. These completely increase and decrease. Why is that? Because it is able to make these increase and decrease, therefore it is called that. Then, in order to determine the order of the three appearances, it is said, "Any first of the three consciousnesses," etc. The first of the three consciousnesses is the appearance called "appearance." "The second is the increasing appearance," that is, the increasing appearance is the second relative to the appearance. "That is great emptiness," that is, obtaining the appearance itself. "The second occurs first," that is, all certainty will obtain emptiness and luminosity. "The order of these is also the order of learning, the order of the arising of nature, and the order of completion. Among them, the order of learning

What is the order? It means to learn gradually. For example, a professor or a skilled disciple of archery first learns to make cowhide. When he is proficient in making cowhide, he begins to learn to make wooden boards, etc., which has been widely elaborated here. This is the order of learning. The order of arising like pus refers to the unmodified Dharma, such as the saying that consciousness arises from wind. Just as the fruit of the great wisdom tree, the mango, matures gradually, not all at once. In addition, there is: "Well abiding in the generation stage, Those who desire the perfection stage, This method of the perfect Buddha, Is spoken like a ladder stage." It should be known that these are all spoken in accordance with the scriptures. The words "appearance arises from luminosity" and so on reveal the order of final completion. Therefore, if someone wants to thoroughly understand something, or wants to understand it quickly, or wants to understand it in an easy way, he should be proficient in the order of what is said and explained. Therefore, in order to understand that "these three appearances cause all sentient beings to increase and decrease," the content of "having the characteristics of three appearances" and so on is declared. So, what is the characteristic of appearance? It is the nature of no appearance, self-illuminating awareness, without body and speech. Just as in the cloudless clear sky in autumn, the moonlight is bright and illuminating in all directions, similarly, the appearance of self-luminous nature, due to all things, is called appearance. Ultimate Bodhicitta is the appearance of wisdom, the first emptiness. Relying on the gate of speech of "Om" (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:圆满) to show one's own seed syllable. Because sentient beings of inferior nature cannot understand the realm enlightened by the Tathagata, they visualize the shape of the moon wheel, or clearly express it with the image of a lotus or a woman, etc., so that they can enter. So, what is the characteristic of the increase of appearance? It is being free from the grasper and the grasped, without body and speech. For example
