Thus it is. The so-called subtle realm is the very nature of luminosity. The stages of manifestation and increase, or the perfection stage arising from the yoga of sudden entry, is what is meant. The so-called essence of all things is the nature of stability and movement, or the nature of self and other continuums, closely represented by the twelve similes of illusion. The so-called five rays of light, such as flowing, are flowing, pervasive flowing, correct flowing, extreme flowing, and definite flowing. These are the five branch winds, not literal, hence in the Vajra Gate, in the great yoga tantra it says: "Snake, turtle, crocodile, Deva-given and bow victorious." Thus it appears. The rays of those, for the sake of grasping objects, the senses such as the eyes are able to enter. Being in accordance with those, is to be in accordance with the separate holding and the branches of meditation, and the close conduct of objects and senses, this is the meaning of these words. As it is said: "Whatever is seen and touched, all is seen as illusion, not dwelling in the conventional, therefore display as illusion. Whatever path of the senses, that is the nature it goes. The union not placed in equipoise, is the divine nature of all Buddhas. Form, sound, and likewise smell, taste and touch themselves, the entry of the eyes and so on, display as illusion. Here, what need is there to say much, in the Vajra Vehicle, in that, whatever is meditated upon by the yogi, that is illusion, not other." Thus it appears. To closely enjoy objects, is to hold onto the stages of separate holding, and to obtain purity through the stages of meditation. The so-called five senses are the eyes and so on. The so-called adorned by those, is to have senses like illusion, and not the nature of blood and flesh and so on. In the Differentiation it also says: "Your body has no emptiness, no flesh and bones and blood, like a rainbow in the sky, your body is displayed. The body has no sickness and impurity, no possibility of hunger and thirst, you are for the sake of the world entering, the world is..."

Manifested the teachings. Thus it is said. The reason for "being complete with faculties" is that, just as the Gandharva beings possess subtle forms and faculties, so too does the illusory body possess subtle forms and faculties. The Gandharva who is complete with faculties is that very Gandharva being, and the Vajra body is also the same. Thus it is said. The meaning of "such an appearance" refers to the illusory-like body. In "entering clearly into the mandala of the Buddha," Buddha refers to the Tathagatas, and mandala refers to the essence. Because that mandala can gather and hold, it is the mandala of the Buddha. It is synonymous with the realm of Dharma, suchness, Prajnaparamita, the ultimate reality, and the self-luminous nature of Dharmata. "Entering into it" means entering into the ultimate reality through the sequence of mudras or the sequence of samadhi. Thus, through words such as "self," by blessing oneself, one enters into the self-luminous body that has the characteristics of the four stages. Momentary consciousness is the instantaneous unfolding. "The body of the Great Vajradhara" refers to the form of the Great Mudra of glorious Vajrasattva, which has the name of Vajra Body. "In the center of samsara and nirvana" means having the nature of equal taste of samsara and peace. "Being free from the extremes of existence and non-existence" is only a slight indication, being free from the distinctions of existence and non-existence, things and non-things, permanence and annihilation, conventional and ultimate, imputation and perfection, the body of mantra and the body of wisdom, skillful means and wisdom, emptiness and compassion, and so on. "Self" refers to one's own body. One should recollect what is to be known. Therefore, this is showing the stage of union. Through "this very sequence" and so on, it is the completion stage characterized by the sequence of Vajra recitation and so on. "Vairochana and so on" refers to the Great Mudra body of the six Tathagatas. "By the differentiation of such thoughts" means through the door of differentiation of the habitual tendencies of afflictions such as ignorance.
