Speech is also the nature of sound. Since sound vanishes merely by being uttered, it has no connection with meaning and the thing itself. If there is a self-nature connection between sound and meaning, or a connection arising from it, what is it? For a while, the first is unreasonable, because sound and meaning are different. Sound is directed at the mouth, and meaning is external. Because they are not the same, the self-nature connection is not valid, just like trees and bark. The object to be proven and the means of proof are named by the mind of exclusion through conceptual thought. The connection arising from it is also non-existent, because it arises by following the pattern of concomitance and difference, like fire and smoke. If there is fire, there is smoke, and if there is no fire, the smoke disappears, and so on. Others do not produce smoke because their respective powers are blocked. Therefore, becoming concomitant and different indicates the state of cause and effect. Here, the situation is not the same, because even if meaning exists, sound does not arise in the mind related to others, and even if meaning does not exist, sounds such as the ocean arise. Therefore, there is no cause-and-effect relationship between sound and meaning, and the naming of sound is mistaken. Then, there must be a connection arising from it between sound and conceptual thought, as it is said: Sound is the cause of conceptual thought, and conceptual thought is the cause of sound. Therefore, conceptual thought arises not without seeing meaning; the connection exists. If it is said that there must be a connection between sound and meaning through the connection of having a connection, then do not say that. Because conceptual thought also does not become arising by seeing meaning, because the consciousnesses that usually operate arise without relying on meaning, for example, the consciousnesses of memory and recognition arise without relying on meaning, just like the conceptual thoughts of memory and recognition. Conceptual thoughts arise from the power of the habitual tendencies of beginningless ignorance; for those conceptual thoughts of meaning, a little

I am not helpful. Furthermore, if those who dwell on the island of Nalekera, even if they see the meaning of things, do not have any conceptual thoughts, is that so? That is also unreasonable, because there will definitely arise conceptual thoughts that have non-things as their object, and that are similar to things, without certainty of the distinctions of place and time. It is like the difference of seeing a Nalekera tree that has been experienced before. Why is it that the conceptual thought that has been experienced before is not a meaningless object? Because speech has no object, it is too extreme, enough. The mind also does not apprehend things, because external things are temporarily separate from one and many, so they do not exist. Therefore, if there is no apprehended object, there is also no apprehending subject, and the mind is not cognition. Furthermore, if external objects produce the mind, then wouldn't the past, future, or present objects produce it? Because the past and future do not exist, they do not have the power to produce. The present object is also suppressed by two moments, so it does not exist, and it cannot produce the mind either. Or, if at the same time the moment of the object produces the moment of the mind, then why is the mind not the object of the object? Therefore, the mind would become the apprehended object, and the object would become the apprehending subject. If the object is an inanimate thing, so it is not the apprehending subject, then they are contradictory. Therefore, like the two horns of a cow, nothing is produced. Therefore, because there is no apprehending subject, there is no nature of the mind. Therefore, the nature of body, speech, and mind is without self-nature. The vajra of space is luminous, and that very thought is the form of the deity arising from it. Wrongly grasping it, it appears like a rainbow because it is gathered by a samadhi like an illusion, it is taught. From then on, and so on. Immediately after hearing the words of the Thus-Gone One, Manjushri and others requested as follows: "Blessed One," and so on. To make requests to the Blessed One and so on, taking Manjushri as close is the nature of wisdom, therefore it is to show sharpness. Blessed One
