It is not an object of investigation. This is what the noble Shantideva said: Investigate what should be investigated, and there is no basis for investigation. Because there is no basis, it does not arise, and that is also called nirvana. Similarly, when the mind does not dwell in the presence of existence and non-existence, then there is no other aspect, so it is completely pacified without an object. It is said like that. It is also said in the King's Garland of Jewels: All the dharmas of wandering are considered to be the firewood of the flame of consciousness. Those are extinguished by the fire of discriminating as they are burned. If you ask how to distinguish between the two, the answer is: For things, etc., there are no things, etc., because they are mutually contradictory. It is said that there are differences, saying that both things and non-things are empty, and the nature of things and non-things are empty. Since the mind is separated from the nature of non-one, it is therefore without nature. Therefore, it is not one, because one will not become a variegated experience that appears as the nature of blue and yellow, and it will be inferred that all yellows, etc., are contained in blue. If blue is also different from before, after, and in between, it will not be understood as a coarse manifestation. Whatever has parts, it is impossible to be one. According to this reasoning, it will appear like a tiny dust particle. It is also not non-one, if the mind is non-one, because the dust particles are different.

It is undeniable that the coarse itself experiences the nature of self-awareness, and it exists only to that extent. Moreover, if the nature of reversal is not subsequently realized, it will not change, as it is said. If it is said that because it exists, it cannot be otherwise, therefore it should be fully examined, then it is not so. Because only with the nature of non-duality, it is most clearly reasonable in the nature of non-elaboration, because it is only in vain to understand the meaning. Therefore, birth is also unreasonable, because there is no valid cognition for the objects of cause and effect. If only the former and latter themselves enter into valid cognition, it is the establishment of the objects of cause and effect, then experiencing without duality, separated from the two aspects, there is neither possessing entry into the former and latter, nor is there any other true right view, because it has been argued that there is no valid cognition. When there is no valid cognition for the objects of cause and effect in this way, therefore, when it is only unborn, from what does it arise? From itself, or from others? Or from both? Or from no cause? Thus, because of being unborn, the mind is also not the nature of things, because it says "arises," so it is a thing, because it is established only on the arising that has previous non-existence. For the same reason, its nature of decay, the nature of non-thingness, also does not exist. Because the nature of things and non-things does not exist, therefore all elaborations also do not exist, because they are the basis of things and non-things, because of their pervasiveness, if there is no pervader, then there is also no pervaded. Therefore, one should realize the emptiness of non-elaboration by this analysis. This itself is also seeing thatness, that is, when the light of true wisdom arises from definitely examining with the eye of wisdom, all phenomena are not seen, as it is said. As the Blessed One said: What is the eye of wisdom of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones? That which does not see even a little. Similarly, what is seeing the ultimate truth? That which does not see all phenomena, as it is said. Therefore, even those yogis of thatness who abide in all conducts, even if they see all phenomena, also...
