Discipline and so on are the names and lineage of the ocean. What is that like? The name "image of the great ocean" refers to: those who manifest from the center of the great ocean as Mount Meru and the wisdom of the wheel, etc., various forms and modes of existence, they completely merge into it and abide. Similarly, the nature of compassion, the thirty-seven wings of enlightenment, etc., which are aimed at all dharmas, this auspicious wheel ༄. is born of discipline and so on, and is also the nature of the world realm. It dissolves into it, and is called "aiming at all dharmas," which is the image of the great ocean. The root letter is illusion, and the characteristic of the selflessness of phenomena is the supreme form. Why is the ocean called the ocean? It is said in the scriptures: "From all aspects," etc., here referring to those who dwell in immeasurable palaces during the empty times at the end of the kalpas, those who have attained the four dhyanas, the mind tormented by attaining them. In order to take away the torment they suffer, they enter into it, and also manifest the categories of sentient beings. Again and again means that at that time they themselves will attain the qualities of the Buddha. The letter རྞྞ is spoken. རྞྞ means that their manifest desires, that is, the manifest desires of those gods who dwell in immeasurable palaces, are the desires of the Bodhisattvas, so that by following the victors in virtuous dharmas, they will not feel tired and completely cut off. Similarly, the letter ཐའི་ is spoken, meaning abandonment, that is, the initial discriminations, referring to the complete abandonment of discriminations about existence and nirvana, etc., at that time one will listen to various dharmas, practice the guru's instructions, etc. Therefore, what is obtained is the characteristic of the nature of illusion, which means abandoning from the previous forms, such as gods, etc., to humans, and obtaining the form of the Buddha, the characteristic of the nature of illusion. What is that like? It is said in the scriptures: At what time, the immeasurable palaces completely enter the state of becoming a Buddha, holding the manifested body, their bodies, etc., naturally become invisible and dissolve.
