The words and meanings as they are, and the explanation of the straightforward meaning as such, the meaning of the letters and the common meaning, are manifestly explained to the assembly. The non-literal and the definitive meaning, and the explanation of the intended meaning as such, the hidden and the ultimate are also considered to be taught to the disciples. Having heard all the objects without exception, one is extremely skilled in grasping them, and one who can speak in an instant is called the Utpala (Sanskrit: Utpala, meaning lotus) person. Having heard particularly many things to be grasped, but without the ability to teach, like a cloth, wool, or seed of a vase, one is said to be a knowledge-blind person. One who has faith and knows compassion, and upon hearing, opens the door of wisdom, dripping like seamless milk, is called the Padma (Sanskrit: Padma, meaning lotus) person. One who is diligent in hearing but has pride, speaks much without foundation, and cannot be followed or accepted, is called the Chandana (Sanskrit: Chandana, meaning sandalwood) person. One who has good discipline and is wise and diligent, has wisdom and a single lineage, and upon hearing, teaches well, is called the Ratna (Sanskrit: Ratna, meaning jewel) person. These four types of people are merely for explaining the assembly. The Ratna person who can contemplate is a vessel for teaching disciples. Following the explained tantra, one should show the tantra that has benefit. By this alone, all the tantras should be straightened, not by other means. Thus it is said. Now, for the sake of the disciples, and for the sake of entering into doubt, the things to be spoken about, etc., will be spoken. Here, the thing to be spoken about is the Bhagavan Heruka, who is the nature of wisdom and means. The one who understands this individually is the King of Tantras, the Abhisamayalankara. The nature of what is said and what can be said in relation to each other is connection. Entering the mandala and bestowing empowerment is the need. Accomplishing the Mahamudra is the need for doubt here. Having directly seen these, with the thought of enjoying the five desires of the disciples who are separated from the vows of the Shravakas, after being supplicated by the Pig-faced Mother surrounded by the heroes and heroines of the great secret place, Shakyamuni, with the Samadhi of glorious Heruka, from the root tantra Abhisamayalankara of one hundred thousand verses, revealed the seven hundred verses of the text in the self of the world and beyond, that is, the meaning of the world and beyond.
