The reason for saying "that" is also like this is that it has already been refuted how it can arise from a cause here. Because of that cause, the unchanging wisdom is the prajna of wisdom, not arising from a cause. Therefore, since there are no things of cause and effect, the fruit itself makes the cause grow, or the cause itself makes the fruit grow, which will not be established between each other. The fruit makes the cause grow, and the cause makes the fruit grow, which will not be established mutually. Why? Because it is said (in the sutra) "cause" and so on. Because cause and effect are interdependent, are conventional truth, and have no beginning and end, they are beyond the world. Therefore, the two mutually increasing are inseparable, the form of union. "Not born nor extinguished" means being away from birth and death. It is said in the sutra: "Whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the dharma nature of all dharmas is always abiding." Because the two are inseparable, the part of wisdom is first peaceful, so it is always unborn; and the part of means is each's own self-awareness, so it is always born. Therefore, there is no cause and effect, and there is no mutual increase. To explain other reasons for not increasing each other, (in the sutra) it is said "unborn" and so on. Since it is impossible to have an external object that is contrary to the form of cognition, therefore, the self-mind with the form of the three realms will appear as the difference of the external object. It is not other than the self-mind, because at that time the yogi has no discriminating thoughts about the parts of self and other. It is also said in the Hevajra Tantra: "Above the heavens, earth, water, and fire, in an instant, it transforms into one body, the discriminating thoughts of self and other parts, cannot be harmed by harm." That's what it means. In order to distinguish the knowable objects of the outside. "In order to distinguish the knowable objects of the outside" means to distinguish the various knowable objects of the outside. Therefore, etc. are summaries, such as the knife, etc. are metaphors. The Great Seal is unborn.

Is it not because there is no result? If someone asks, wouldn't some fruits of some unborn dharmas be experienced by some? The answer is: such as a barren woman, etc. Even if she is not fertile, a barren woman can experience pleasure in dreams by uniting with a maiden. Similarly, by relying on the form that arises from the sky, the form of bliss that arises together with the fruit, which does not arise from the power of wisdom and skillful means, but truly arises from the Great Seal, like the sky, free from obscurations, abiding in all things, is only to be self-realized by yogis. It is not to be realized by the ignorant. If there are no skandhas, elements, and sense bases, and one is separated from the true union of the two faculties, wisdom and primordial awareness will not become self-cognizant, because it is immutable. Didn't the Tathagata say so? How does a yogi, by becoming attached to the appearance of his own mind, following his own mind, make his own mind without obscurations, and also enjoy the wisdom of great bliss that does not change? Because there is no body composed of aggregates of atoms. This itself is a reversal, like the saying that Devadatta rides on his own shoulders and goes to the city. Here, some may have such thoughts, therefore it needs to be explained. Here, what the ignorant say is that apart from the nature of the aggregates of atoms, namely the skandhas, elements, and sense bases, one cannot attain self-cognizant wisdom and primordial awareness by mind alone, but that is not the case, it is habit. Here, what is called skandhas, elements, and sense bases are the habits of the foolish mind.

If it is said that the nature of the mind's habitual tendencies, the other body that is separate from the collection of subtle particles, appears to go to another place. When that body that has gone to another place is harmed by thieves and so on, that harm causes great suffering to the mind, and that suffering burns it. Without a body, and without thieves and so on, yet the awareness of the mind's suffering can be self-aware, this is truly amazing! Similarly, in dreams, those who enjoy great desires, their minds are filled with happiness. Without a body, yet able to enjoy desires, this is undoubtedly the self-awareness of the happiness of sentient beings' minds, which is truly wonderful! Even this fleeting awareness, the wise cannot fully analyze, let alone the Samantabhadra of the yogis, which transcends the habitual tendencies of samsara and arises from the habitual tendencies of nirvana, that unchanging great bliss wisdom can be self-aware, how can the ignorant distinguish it? If it is said that wisdom and means are inseparable, then that is not ultimate either. The Buddha said: Not wisdom, and so on. If it is not wisdom, nor means, if there are different aggregates, then by what can it be transformed into inseparable bodhicitta? Because yogis cannot understand that state. Saying "co-emergent" is also because wisdom and awareness are co-emergent. Obtaining the state of complete bliss everywhere is to be free from all obscurations, such as afflictions like desire and all obscurations like knowable objects. Without clothes, it is because it cannot be touched by hands and so on. Because it is free from the grasped and the grasper, it has abandoned the body and senses. Because it completely pervades everything, it is "all". Because it knows all aspects, it abides in all things, and also abides in the three times. Because it transcends the nature of subtle particles, it cannot be cut by the ignorant sword of unknowing. Because it transcends the nature of discriminating consciousness, it is the grasper.
