The prophecy of Sapa and the exhortation of Manjushri: I, the Bodhisattva, the Protector of the World, shall write a commentary, so it is said. What is this commentary like? For children and wise, ignorant ones, It will clarify the secrets of the tantras. Like a mother benefits her son, For the sake of the happiness of sentient beings. This means that for sentient beings such as children, the secrets of the tantras, such as the Vajra words, will be clarified. Furthermore, just as a mother benefits her children, in order to dispel the suffering of all sentient beings and to obtain common happiness, the connection should be written, this is the connection. Therefore, ༄། The Bodhisattva, the lord of the ten grounds, the Protector of the World, acts for the benefit of sentient beings, not for the sake of accomplishing his own benefit. If he gives worldly happiness, does he not give happiness beyond the world? The supreme path of Vajrasattva, How do yogis know it? This means that the supreme path of Vajrasattva, that is, the six-limbed yoga that has signs such as smoke, by what commentary do yogis understand that path that has become the most excellent and unchanging nature, that commentary should be written. What is the name of the commentary? The commentary is Immaculate Light, Therefore, write it quickly. This means that impurity, that is, the predispositions of desire and so on, by what can it be eliminated, and the mind itself made clear light, therefore it is called Immaculate Light, that should be written quickly, that is the meaning. The commentary on the condensed King of Tantras, the Glorious Wheel of Time, following the root tantra, the twelve thousand verses called "Immaculate Light," which causes all maras and obstacles to decline, and the most desired deity, and the great explanation of the abbreviated meaning of Yama's determination.

The Bhagavan Kalachakra, which has become the nature [of reality], is what is to be expressed. The king of tantras, the collection of letters that has become the nature of the five chapters, is what expresses it. The connection between these is the characteristic of what is to be expressed and what expresses it. The purpose is to accomplish worldly siddhis through the power of merit and the power of the contemplation of discernment, and to accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. The purpose of the purpose is to accomplish the siddhi of the great seal, the mastery of the twelve bhumis, through the six limbs of union. Considering these meanings and so forth, the king of tantras, the Bhagavan Kalachakra, which has become the nature of the five, the chapters of the world, the inner chapters, the initiation chapters, the accomplishment chapters, and the wisdom chapters, was taught to all sentient beings, including humans, in order to obtain worldly and transworldly siddhis. What was the intention of the Tathagata in teaching the king of tantras in the order of the chapters of the world and so forth? It should be explained: The world, which has become the nature of atoms such as earth, water, fire, and wind, is the basis of birth and the basis of death, and what depends on it are sentient beings. In order to make sentient beings suitable vessels for the siddhi of the great seal, worldly and transworldly initiations are necessary. Having initiated them, the practice is done in order to accomplish worldly siddhis. Because worldly siddhis do not exhaust birth and death, therefore, in order to be free from birth and death, the siddhi of the great seal is accomplished through non-dual wisdom. The Tathagata thought in his heart that first he taught the chapter of the world, which has become the nature of the collection of atoms such as earth, water, fire, and wind, and then he taught the inner chapter, which has become the nature of the birth and cessation of sentient beings. Then he taught the nature of the initiation of the world and the transworldly
