That which has become like that is the wish-fulfilling jewel. Does it act like an ordinary person? To give the lordship of the three realms, this shows everything. The term "lord of the three realms" refers to the accomplishment of the great seal (Mahamudra). To give that, this explanation shows the meaning of the world and the meaning beyond the world. Having thus explained the merits of the explanation, the unsurpassed path to enlightenment is not another path other than the accomplishment of the great seal. Named "Vajradhara's mudra, the all-knowing giver of great bliss, that itself is the great seal," that itself refers to the great seal. That itself is the sole mudra of the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, not others. What is that itself like? Named "all-knowing giver of great bliss," all-knowing bliss refers to the supreme unchanging bliss. Because it continuously gives until samsara is exhausted, it is named "all-knowing giver of great bliss." Others give changing and leaking bliss, not like that. Even if it acts like that, what is the nature of that itself like? Named "place of complete separation from obscurations such as the aggregates," it refers to the aggregates, etc., which have become the nature of the completely non-abiding nirvana, which are covered by and pervaded by the habits of samsara. Those aggregates, etc., are called obscurations, meaning the aggregates, etc., of the world. By what are the aggregates, which have become the cause of samsara, abandoned? Named "place of complete separation from obscurations such as the aggregates." If separation from the aggregates, etc., occurs, what will it become? Is it not the nature of non-existence? Named "any subtle eight ways," Pratīsenā, which has become the nature of eight ways, refers to the eight ways such as the image in a mirror and dreams and the city of gandharvas and mirages. Because it is similar to those, it is the eight natures of Pratīsenā.

It is called "Profound," meaning it transcends existence and non-existence. Thus, having shown the path that becomes the nature of Mahamudra, it is shown that the path of unsurpassed Bodhi is not other. Abandoning this path, what kind of distorted thought of greed for wealth does one rely on? It is called "For the sake of becoming a Buddha." Having abandoned the great seal that has been spoken of in this way, for the sake of attaining unsurpassed Bodhi, what does one rely on for the karma mudra of greed for wealth and impurity of mind, or the wisdom mudra that has become the nature of investigation? What fault is there in that path? It is called, "That, too, is led to transference by the wisdom of discrimination." Among them, "that" refers to karma mudra. Or, the wisdom mudra that has become the nature of the discriminating mind gives the transference of the nature of wandering in samsara, but does not give unsurpassed Bodhi. What is the fault of transference? "Sin arises from detachment, why does anger arise towards the extremely beautiful?" It means that for whomever the bliss of self-awareness turns into transference, that becomes a sin for him. Why is that? Because anger arises towards the extremely pleasing mudra. What is the fault of anger? "From this anger arises ignorance." It means that the root of ignorance is anger. Whoever has ignorance, that person does not have non-dual wisdom, and whoever does not have non-dual wisdom, that person, his own vajra, which has become the basis of supreme and unchanging bliss, will fall. Because the vajra has fallen, the mind will faint and lose its memory, that is the meaning. What is the fault of fainting? "Non-vow food and drink, etc., completely enter other realms." It means that non-vow food and drink, etc., refer to worldly faults, as well as purification, increase, burning, and substances that have not been made into nectar. The weary mind will enter those realms, etc.

The earth's core is what causes beings to be reborn into the six realms; it is not otherwise. Similarly, it is stated in the 'Empowerment Sutra': 'Other than detachment, there is no other sin. Other than bliss, there is no supreme merit. Therefore, the unchanging mind of bliss should always be meditated upon, O King!' Thus spoke the Blessed One. Furthermore, it is taught that supreme enlightenment cannot be attained through sounds and the gateways of scriptures. For those who desire the path of omniscience, there is no great need for discrimination between sound and non-sound. The path of omniscience is non-dual wisdom, and for those who desire it, there is no need to discriminate between sound and non-sound. Why? Because even the bad languages of many lands lead the great ones to constantly enter the path. This means that for yogis who wish to accomplish the siddhi of Mahamudra, the languages of various lands, such as barbarians, serve as a support for relying on the non-dual path. For those who wish to argue about sounds and dwell in samsara, the refined Sanskrit spoken by gods and nagas is not the language of the Tathagata. Why? Because for all sentient beings dwelling in the realms of the ten directions, the Tathagata's speech arises from their own languages and the power of their own thoughts. Therefore, it is explained in half a verse: 'The speech of the omniscient, arising from the inclinations and minds of sentient beings, is different. The Sanskrit spoken by gods and nagas is another explanation for those who wish to argue about sounds.' Thus it is said. Therefore, one should rely on the meaning, not on the words. The meaning of what the Blessed One said is clearly explained in verse: 'From distorted sounds, yogis grasp the meaning through the language of the land.' This means that whatever is separate from Sanskrit is called distorted. Yogis grasp the meaning from distorted sounds through the language of the land. For example, when water and milk are mixed, a swan can separate and drink it.
