Alas! If the lama does not act for the sake of happiness, The mind of decline will give much suffering. The suffering of falling far from a tree is not the greatest, It is best to abandon the fruits of desire in advance. Look at those poisons that spread quickly, The five-faced Yama, the elephant, and The mouth of the great wrathful Yama are the most excellent, A malicious disciple should not rely on the lama. Those who wish to rely on the feet of the glorious and wise one, Do not wish to be reborn a hundred times out of extreme anger. Therefore, one should examine with one's own intelligence, One should rely on it, and not become angry. Like a whetstone, the nature of a tree, and an image in a mirror, Attachment to external objects makes this place excellent. Those who harbor resentment, Ah! The great lama with qualities like the ocean, Will be completely slandered, Numerous demons and the fires of hell will be ignited, Obstacles and evil spirits will always seize him, Abandoning the senses of a kind-hearted and lucid mind, Instead, they zealously worship those heartless things. Manjushri was originally the first Buddha, Yet he made offerings to other teachers, Why is that? It is for the purpose of taming sentient beings, Not for seeking and clinging to liberation. Similarly, lamas also display signs of desire, In order to allow ignorant people to accumulate merit, They also perform many prostrations and offerings, However, they do not cling to the path of nirvana. Wives, children, and many relatives, Land, wealth, kingship, invincible armies, Accomplishments, and sages with magical powers, These transient bodies are all impermanent. Everything in the three realms, whether stable or moving, If you see even a slight unpleasantness here, If there is anything whose form is indestructible, Then deliberately develop attachment to these things. Until the Lord of Death is fully awakened, You should protect this body as much as possible. If it is fully awakened, even if you try to protect it, The body will inevitably be given to the jackals. Similarly, even if you seek refuge in wives, children, relatives, Friends, and protectors, Burning
