It is the path of the Tathagata Samyak-sambuddha, which is the state of entering this path. If that lama is relied upon, then for the disciples, this path is the giver, the taker of the fear of hell. From that, the so-called Brahmachari is the one who obtains the unchanging bliss. As for the demons, namely the aggregates, afflictions, death lord, and the son of the gods, for these four demons, like a vajra scepter, is the vajra scepter. That is also on the basis of the lotus, extremely famous as Vajrasattva, the so-called incarnation, refers to the certainty of relying on the Vajra Master. Now, in order to fully examine the faults of the wicked teacher, it is said in three verses, beginning with "having pride." In this principle of mantra, any lama who has faults such as pride, even if he is taken as a lama, is like hell, and the wise disciples, that is, those with wisdom, should abandon him as the cause of perfect enlightenment. Because this person has pride, he is proud. There are also many kinds of pride, that is, being proud of being proficient, being proud of wealth and power, and fully knowing those ten kinds, being proud of the path and form, etc., whoever has these should be abandoned. Looking at the lower and lower sentient beings, one will have pride, and looking at the higher and higher sentient beings, one will be free from pride. Therefore, the wise who understand the true path should abandon those who have pride and are devoid of compassion. Similarly, it is also suppressed by anger. The so-called being devoid of vows means that the secret vows that are slandered by the world become devoid of vows because of public practice. That should also be abandoned. Greed for wealth is also, that is, greed for the heavy objects of the Sangha and stupas, etc., and enjoying the wealth of the guru, is greed for wealth. Similarly, accumulating wealth etc. for the sake of the enjoyment of samsara. The so-called not even hearing means ignorance, is the one who is far from the oral instructions of the holy path. Similarly, deceiving the disciples of the holy ones, that is, those who aim at deception, should also be abandoned. From the supreme state of bliss, the mind has declined, and the one who has not received empowerment.

That is, those who preach the tantras without empowerment should be abandoned. "Completely attached to enjoyments" means being completely and genuinely attached to the enjoyments of external samsara in every way. "Negligence" means drinking alcohol, that is, not maintaining mindfulness, which should be abandoned. "Desiring for the sake of the senses" means that desiring for the pleasure of the two organs should also be abandoned, which is the definitive statement of the Tathagata. The rule of mantra is like this: The teacher's virtues should be learned, Faults are never present. Learning virtues leads to accomplishment, Speaking of faults leads to no accomplishment. Similarly: Whoever obtains the supreme empowerment of the vajra, The teacher is the Tathagata. Those who dwell in the ten directions of the world, The Buddhas of the three times bow down. Didn't the Tathagata say that? Therefore, the teacher's virtues should be learned, and some undamaged words will be mentioned, so they should be spoken. Here, in the future, those foolish people who have lost the right path will say: The teacher's virtues should be learned, Faults are never present. What is said is not right. Why? Because in order to rely on a teacher, the Tathagata said to fully examine the teacher's faults and virtues, like this: Without compassion and prone to anger, Arrogant, greedy, and cutting off the path, A student should not take a self-praising teacher, One with wisdom should not do so. Therefore, even if one has taken a teacher, but does things that should not be done, a disciple seeking liberation should abandon them. Similarly, in the "First Buddha" it says: If a householder lives in a dwelling, Servants, farmers, merchants, etc., Those fools who sell the true Dharma, On earth are not Vajradharas. And so on. Regarding the three types of teachers, it is said in the full examination of the teacher: Those ten are all-knowing, Among the three, a monk is superior, The intermediate is called a novice, A householder is the lowest of them. Similarly: A householder who has not attained the ground, A king should not take as a teacher, Those who have heard and know everything, Whoever has the signs should be taken. A teacher who has not attained the ground.
