Including the earth, including the hands and feet becoming stiff and insensible, and also declining, these are considered to be signs of death in the body, so it is said. Furthermore, anything that is seen slightly perverted in the body or externally, such as a shadow person, should be recognized by the yogi as a sign of death. Having understood this, one should perform generosity and other virtuous deeds, and if one lives by the power of merit, that is also good. If one is destined to die, then the fruit of what has been given will follow. Therefore, in either case, those who seek happiness, the Sugatas, should give generously. This is the definitive statement of the Bhagavan. From the Vimalaprabha, the twelve thousand verses of the commentary on the condensed tantra, the King of Tantras, the Kalachakra, which follows the root tantra, this is the fourth chapter, the great summary of the signs of death and the explanation of the root. Fifth chapter: The great summary of the definitive Kalachakra, the momentary nature that is the cause of the arising and ceasing of the conventional world. Now, through "arising and" and so on, the nature of the arising and gathering of the conventional world is explained. In this cycle of existence, whatever moment of change there is, that causes the arising of sentient beings, that is, in the womb, the alaya-consciousness that is fully endowed with dust and semen. Then, it causes the time of birth from the womb, and creates the form of infants and youths and so on, that is, it creates the body. That very moment of change also causes the gathering again in the worlds, that is, in the heavens, the human realm, and underground, this is the one with the Kalachakra, not the sun. The sun is dust and the moon is semen, without the Kalachakra, because there is no alaya-consciousness, it does not do it. This is its meaning. Here, why do the sun and moon, which have the nature of dust and semen, not do it? Because here it is said everywhere that "the nature of fire, sun, and moon is the goer," this statement is very famous. Here, why were the gods such as the moon and sun, together with the elements, devoured by the Bhagavan for the part of the night? Because in this cycle of existence, the part of the night is the moon.

It is arising. The daytime part is the sun, which is gathering. Here, the nighttime part, that is, at the time of arising, the nature of the Alaya-consciousness, in the determined womb, is spoken of with the sound of the moon, semen, and sun dust, etc., as well as urine and the elements, including earth, water, fire, wind, and space, all of which are eaten as the basis of dust and semen, for the purpose of perfecting body, speech, and mind. The moon, that is, semen, is Ishvara. The sun, that is, dust, is the constant four. The foot is fierce. Urine is Vishnu. Excrement is Brahma. The gods such as the moon and sun eat at night, that is, at the time of arising. Again, that is, again, the endless body is occupied by various things, which is various transformations, that is, those are all dispelled, and certainly in the daytime, that is, at the time of gathering, it means dispelling. The cause of arising is, that is, again, it is dispelled as the cause of arising others. The order is, at the navel, heart, throat, forehead, and crown, the elements such as earth are completely dispelled in order. It is the determination of the conventional actor. Now, sound, etc., with sound, etc., the worldly conventional actions and actors, etc., are spoken of. Here, when the body is accomplished, sound and touch, form, taste, smell, and the realm of phenomena, these six become actions. The six senses are also, that is, ear, body, eye, tongue, nose, and mind, these six are the actors. With the division of the twelve houses, with the division of year, month, and lunar phases, the twenty-four directions and day and night, that is, day and night, and the fifteen lunar days, as well as the moon and sun, etc., all of these are the actors. The actor is the nature of the Alaya-consciousness, the moment of semen movement, the co-emergent joy, that is, the worldly convention. The moment of movement, etc., the actor and action and these actions of gathering change elsewhere, because the actor of arising is not the actor. Therefore, the space-pervading space Vajradhara, that is, devoid of object, without characteristics, without qualities, and without nature, this is the co-emergent body, indivisible all.
